I was just thinking about this topic & was trying to understand the mindset of some folks & it occurred to me that there are things that get done around "here" in rural areas that may not be done in other areas. Around "here", if someone sees...

The underlined above is presumptive. There are other reasons why a dog might get into a snare or trap other than running around, "unsupervised". You must not have a hunting dog. Probably haven't been out in the field with yours hunting much...

Nope. Don't live there. My point was in comparison from there to here where I am, that there was a time limit in most states on how often a trapper needs to check his traps. ( see below) I would not have done anything to the set/trap, nor the...

24 hours MAX. between trap visits is the law here. I hope the "trapper" follows the law. I have an "opinion" about snares & traps & I have been a trapper. I still have some 220 conibears, pan sets & snares. There is a certain responsibility...

At revolver velocities below about 500 fps if the revolver has a large cylinder gap over 0.008" a bullet might fail to exit the bore. The situation is exaserbated in a .357 chamber because there is gas leakage around the bullet when it transitions...

5 grains of Bullseye was the standard .45 ACP charge. The .45 Colt M1909 load with 230-grain bullet used 7.5 grains of Bullseye and this would be a safe, standard pressure load substituting the 230-grain FMJ government bullet as well.
