There is a "Step" in the NOE plugs. The larger number is the bigger step that opens the "mouth" of the case. It is at the "top" or closest to the threaded part that holds it in the die. The other smaller number is the size the "body" of the case...

I just bought 3 weeks ago, from Midsouth, before that sale, 500 of the same bullet for about $45.00 + shipping. About a dime per bullet. I don't shoot AR 223/5.56 that much, so I do not cast for it; I just buy the bullets to load. Maybe I will...

Once again, the gubment thinks they should be able to get involved in the privacy & the personal liberty of the citizens. Communism/Socialism, Leftist & Marxist BS.... Those who try to do such things are "Domestic enemies" of the US Constitution....

A subsonic .223 is essentially a .22LR......are you hunting/shooting hogs with that? Also a subsonic load in .223 will not function a standard gas gun such as an AR.

Not sure what Lyman moulds you're using but you might slip over to NOE (shouldn't be too far from you) and check out the 30 XCB mould (310-165-FN). Here's 2 sighters and 10 for "record" I shot last week or so with my M1903A1 NM Type II. My XCBs...

You might try a tudge slower powder than RL17. I found AA4350 to be the best performer in 14" twist .308W Palma rifle and my 30x60 XCB rifle.

I wear trifocals and have no problems, just have to use the same focal each time. I mounted my lee tester in a kids microscope and it makes it so much easier to use and a lot more accurate.

I use a WFN 150 gr cast (old group buy C312-150-WFN) cast of COWWs +2% tin which is pretty much the same alloy as you're using. I use this bullet in both my Russian SKS and a Mini Mk X Mauser. Both have 20" barrels with 9 1/2" and 10" twists. I...

OS OK replied to a thread Free lead in Lead and Lead Alloys
If that block of Pb won't fit the melt pot, you can cut it down with an old limb saw & a chunk of wax lubrication for the saw...doesn't take much wax because this type saw has a wide kerf. Slow and easy as you go & it'll cut like butter.
