I just got my HANDLOADER yesterday. Skimmed over the article. Not much new. I take anything Pearce writes with a BIG GRAIN OF SALT. Look at the article by pure numbers. Allowing just 5 minutes to load the brass & shoot 5 rds for each individual...

I got a new in the box, LYMAN Small block single cavity mold cut for the #358446, from fleabay. It was still in the plastic, with the old shirt board grey striped box, wrapped in the old brown wax paper. I gotta wait until next Friday until I...

I cast the #358495 out of COWW or 20/1 for about 10yrs, until I realized I COULDN'T cast better then I could buy swaged HBWC's. Lubed only the bottom 2 grooves, sized .358, never noticed the lube grooves being "squashed". My DAD used to cast the...

If it's tapped for a receiver sight, you should be able to mount a small red dot, like a Bushnell TRS-80 to a rear mount. Worked like a charm with SMLE a while back. They're very accurate and no having to D&T more holes in the barrel,,,,,

The way folks treat their brass since the coming of Progressive Reloading presses has drastically altered reloading. I can't even use the term HandLoading. Ammo is shot up as fast possible, and loaded just as fast. In the three most common...

Could it be for that .45COLT ammo that was loaded for the COLT 1909. I seem to remember reading something about the rims being made wider because the standard cartridge rims would slip off the extractor, jamming up the revolver.

I've never "forgotten" I owned a gun. But I've lost a few that I loaned to friends that died, and my plea's to have them returned were rebuffed by family members. The Police consider it a family matter, or in the case of a different City, a...

I keep all my brass separate. When I pick it up at the range it goes right back in it's own box. I've picked up so much brass from .32ACP to .50AE since I was 3 or 4yrs old, that I can tell what a cartridge is by blind feel. I've still got some...

I used to load a HORNADY HBWC. Gave me pretty decent accuracy at 50ft. Never tried a cast bullet. Didn't have anything that would drop at .360 or larger.
