Norske, I disagree completely on the old .357Mag Factory load wearing out N-frame's quickly. My DAD had a Registered Pre-War .357Mag 8 3/4" that he regularly fired a load of the Thompson Gas Check 158gr bullet over a charge of 2400, way to hot...

You can make "demooner" by finding a piece of metal tubing 6inches long that is barely large enough to fit over a .45ACP round. Then cut off about 2/3 off one end of the tube about 1/8" deep. Then you put it over the cartridge in a moonclip and...

I use 28.0grs of IMR3031 over the Lyman #375449GC cast of Linotype. Gives me great accuracy out of a Winchester 1981-94-Chief Crazy Horse. Under 2" at 100yrds from the bench. That's 5 shots.

I have a bit of a problem with mine. Got it Xmas '17, I noticed right off that you had to drag the blade fast to start, otherwise you end up with a divot at the base of the blade. And you can't get the base of the blade sharp, because you can't get...

I like to cast from multiple molds I find that molds of the same Height make casting much easier & smoother I use 3+ molds at a time. Or even 4 if they are all 2cav. I cast from about 725degrees. Even with arthritis I can turn out a good 500...

Walks replied to a thread Gatling Gun live fire ! in Our Town
When End of Trail was still in SoCal, back in the mid 1990's, a guy who owned a Gatling Gun (Carriage mount) brought it for a couple of years. You could shoot it for a buck a shot; $20 for a 20rd stick mag or $100 for a Eccles 100rd drum. Man it...

Have had a S&W 1917 for ages. I prefer Remington .45Auto Rim brass. But I understand starline is all that's available these days. I load a std 230gr Hardball (#452374) Load, and a target load using the same load I shoot in my Gold Cup a Light...

For me, I could do without the entire line of short & fat rifle cartridges. Half an inch of action length and 2-4 ounces in weight. And the weight/size of scopes is ridiculous. What ever happened to the 8 lb Hunting Rifle. Your boots could be...

I've shot this bullet since I was 10yrs old, THAT'S 55yrs today. In both .357Mag Cases & .38spl cases seated out, using the "Skeeter Load" . I've sent more thousands down the bbl of a 6 1/2" NM Blackhawk then I can count. The gas cutting stopped...

I bought mine in 1974. A girlfriend gave me a RockChucker the following year. I still have the Lyman Spartan mounted on my bench, still use it. I have a Hornady L-N-L too.

I cast for 30yrs before I tried my first Lee 2cav mold. I learned to slow down and put the bottom edge ofthe mold in the quench bucket every few casts to cool them off. I already knew about thermometers and hot plates. But when I started...

Yep, I clamp my old Lyman Lube-Sizer W/heater added on to my Patio Picnic table. First time I used a Accurate flat nose punch I sat there with a cordless drill & 400grit. Took one 5 second run in the drill to make each fit perfect. Took more...

I thought the banks were open 0900-1500 Mon-Thurs. And until 1800 on Friday's. That didn't change until the early 1980's.
