You can apply second coat as soon as bullets are cool enough to handle. ( 75-80F) 2nd coat should be adequately dried same as first coat before cooking.

Lube the checks with something before installing, annealing the checks so they won't spring back also helps.

When I have a problem mold, that's not a simple bullet release from cavity problem. I go back to the beginning and disassemble the mold and boil it in DAWN. Rinse in boiling water x 2. Scrub with Acetone & CLEAN, NEW toothbrush. Then brake Cleaner...

Lucky. I put a BENELLI Montrefeltro back together once with the extractor facing in, instead of out. The bolt came back and the case didn't eject. But it still tried to feed another round. I WAS LUCKY. Just disassembled the gun turned the bolt...

They are great guns. If you decide you want a shorter barrel, please don't cut that one down. So many people have done that, they are almost impossible to find in the original 24" length. Sell it and buy a 20" barreled gun. MARLIN hasn't made a 24"...

If the cutoff is removed, don't forget to make a nail or rod insert to replace the shaft of the cutoff or you will most likely have rounds hang up in the cutoff recess,,,,

Now I remember why my Dad wouldn't shot cast in the Garands. Okay for 1903&A3's, ok for M1917 and any sporting rifle. Too much inconsistency in the Garands. And back 50-60yrs ago there was no way to regulate gas pressure, as with the accessories...

I started out stacking 4"X6" pieces of 1/4" plywood under a inverted ingot mold. You slide the right number of pieces to get the level you need. I built a base with metal strips for the sides to hold the plywood pieces in place. Worked much better...

The #454190 is an old favorite as it's the original profile. But they're hard to keep from sliding back into the case when you stuff 14 in a 24 1/2" rifle's magazine. Yes I said 14 rounds on a UBERTI 1873 rifle. I also can get 14 .44WCF Cartridges...

I load .32ACP, 32Short&Wimpy, .32S&W Long & .32H&R Mag on a RCBS Piggyback 2 mounted on the 'ol RockChucker. The only problem I ever encountered was using Moly-Coated 80gr RN's. The little bugger's would slip out of my fingers. Not a problem with...

    A .45 Caliber 280gr SWC at 950fps or a .44 Caliber 265gr FP at 1000fps, makes a pretty good argument.

The Lee factory crimp die in .44WCF & .38WCF won't work on MINIMUM LENGTH BRASS. I ran into the very same problem with new starline brass. It's also to thick to chamber a .427 bullet in my 1st GEN COLT. Either shorten the lee die or clip a...

They are all metallic with the exception of the Brick Red. Since you already have the large oven, no harm in trying it, it's all about equal heat distribution and it may work well enough for your needs.

Graf.com They list them by REDDING, but out of stock. $90. They are REALLY GOOD dies. I've had a set for 25yrs. I use BERTRAM brass. They're made correctly and are soft enough to expand with the low-pressure loads I use in my WINCHESTER 1886...
