They also made Model 19s with a 6-inch barrel for CHP, but less common than the 2-1/2" or 4". Some 3" Model 19s were made for Customs and Border Patrol, Office of Naval Intelligence and State Dept. Security for use by Marine Embassy Guards, reason...

Good Luck with Lyman. Three's years ago it took me two trys to get Lyman to make it right with two new undersized molds. Why I bought a N.O.E. 4cav mold. It was so nice I bought a N.O.E. version of the Lyman #452423, the bullets fairly Leap out...

I figured out long ago that a pistol or revolver which weighed more than 24 ozs. loaded was too heavy for pocket carry. Since I have retired and grown more "portly" I have taken to wearing suspenders for comfort, and do not routinely wear a belt or...

Two more “new” ones for me this week. Both RCBS. First is a 32-98 SWC and the second is a eBay find 45-300 FN. It’s covered in surface rust. But inside blocks is clean but one spot. Hoping evapo rust cleans them. CW

This mold is a Accurate 31-135s. It was designed expressly for the RUGER Single six to fit it’s shorter cylinder. I have t yet tried it in the 32/20 but I will soon! Froggy, 7.3 showed ever so slightly sticky extraction from the birds...

I'm with CuriousShooter on this one. Fire lapping causes wear of forcing cone and cylinder throats, but does little or nothing to mitigate a thread choke. A round-hole broach is the factory method to repair thread choke unless you pull the barrel,...

Alliant 300MP is turning up over and over in the research I have been doing the last week on .410 as giving top velocity, and very, very low pressure, which in turn is very forgiving on the hulls.

This small amount of Dacron should be completely consumed upon firing. If any is deposited onto the muzzle brake it will probably be as a smoky film which can be cleaned off with a brush using Mil-C-372B or Kroil. If you see any visible "fluff"...

An old gun that works is worth more than a new gun that doesn't! For that much money you can get a pre-1980 Model 19 and have it gunsmith tweaked as a duty carry. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/854838805 ...

RCBS has made the same handles since they bought out Lachmiller/Ohaus. Lyman just changed over to the Saeco type. And as far as I know Lee handles fit all Lyman 2cav and RCBS. N.O.E., MP and Accurate too. So what is your question ?

LO, It can be remelted at low temp and more paraffin or BW, or both, added to firm it up. I don't believe it will seriously alter its characteristics for lower velocity applications. If this lube is for 2K+ fps, I do recommend folks that like...

When I had an armory full of them we made a fixture to hold the crane arbor and faced them in a Wilson case trimmer, which made it possible to stretch and face dozens easily once we figured out the correct base length to set the case trimmer.

Post-WW2 but pre-1957 raised diamond stocks typically go for $75-$100 depending on condition. Nice minimally worn, undamaged pre-WW2 ones with good finish VERY much more.
