I loaded up 100 this AM. Hoping to shoot today if it stops drizzling. I lucked out on this gun, found out it is a early one 1962-63 production. Autos not my area of smarts, looked gun over and was easy to tell it was lightly used. Buying match...

I have a S&W, 19-3, 4" .357mag in 99%+ condition. This is last series to have pinned barrel and counter bored cylinders. Gun has been shot, very fine turn line. Original S&W Target Grips. I have several 19s in 6" and have no use for 4" barreled...

Yea, K is to big for a belly gun. I am S&W revolver hoarder, but I shoot them and am not the slightest interested in 4" or shorter guns. To big for carry and to small for field. One thing I will say, even the short barrels shoot if you check them...

I had 2 big ingots, take up weights. I started with a saws-all which cut it ok but was taking forever. I ended up over a period of time kind of peeling it with a axe and a sledge hammer. I still have one left, haven't worked up the energy to cut...

To answer this I'm going to use 2 guns a M29-2 & M25-5 and for added comparison a M24, 44sp. Using what would be standard bullets, 240swc in 44mag, 250 RnFp in 45Colt and also loading same 240swc in 44sp. Also loading these cartridges to standard...

I shoot S&Ws. A long time ago I figured out that they were equal to, if not better than a Colt. At the time (1960s) S&W was cheaper than Colt. Same thing with Ruger SAs, the 3 screws are the best SAs that have ever been built, for a lot less than...

The difference between a Cadillac and a Yugo. Some people like Yugos. I won't even take a Taurus or Rossi revolver on trade.

The grips you are looking for are N Magnas in S&W talk. M28s and M58s came with them.

If you want to shoot full power magnum loads buy a Ruger SA. They are strongest 44 made. A S&W is more of a precision target gun. There is no point of wrecking a fine revolver with hot loads. What is the point? Why burn powder and beat up the gun...

I have 2 factory rifles that seem to be a cut above normal. A pre 64 m70fw 308 and a Rem 722 in 222. I don't keep any rifle that doesn't shoot exceptionally well but these two are cherries. I have several customs that are tack drivers but you...

I have made a lot of molds on drill press, fishing lures which don't need precision of a bullet. I use aircfaft Alumilum, pre drill for steel index pins and start with a 3/32" bit. Trying to drill between the 2 halves with a big bit to start...

I don't follow Colts, other than the Snakes and some earlier Target models in DA revolvers. I do know my S&Ws and their value. I would make sure I knew what I had and value before trading. 19s are going for $600-$700 in nice condition, got to be a...

There are still S&W m24s to be had. Not plentiful but a good shooter can be found for $7-800. They are far superior to anything Taurus or Charter makes. Ruger SA is a well made gun but not as easy to shoot as a S&W.

Been looking for a good WC mold for 44mg & 44sp. I bought some cast 200g WCs with button done top. They were extremely accurate. Have similar 45 cal WC that is tackdriver in m25s. I got a m24 itching for some WCs.

I don't vary for barrel length either. Have been using 2400 with 240g gcs since 60s. My Ruger SBH, I load heavy with 240JHPs for deer. I am trying the H-110 for use in Marlin 1894, no bullet picked yet. Probably lightest JHP I can push fastest and...

I have 9, m19s- 7 are 6". About 99% of the shooting I do with them is med vel target loads with cast bullets. I never fire hot loads in any of my S&Ws, even the 44mgs. I have some old Ruger SAs that I use for deer hunting with full house loads. If...

I have several S&W revolvers. My only complaint on any of them is the front sights. I hate the Red Ramps and plain ramps on 4" guns. I like 6" guns with Patridge Blade front. Both ramps give a hard to define top will a little wear on them. Yes, I...

There is nothing better than a fixed sight gun that shoots to the POA. Problem with that is if they do it is with a certain load. Elevation can be adjusted some through bullet weight and charge, if windage is off, you have to hold off to hit. So...
