Should have model on top receiver ring. That particular model would not have been factory D&T for scope bases. Looks like a refinish and maybe replaced or upgraded stock. Many 1899/ 99 get cracked around thin segments butting action. I just sold...

I’ve got several #3s. By accident I came across a gizmo that looks like a black recoil pad. It’s not it’s a 1” stock extender. Takes place of butt plate. You will be surprised how big a difference 1” makes. The 3# is a PIA to scope because of short...

I have mold to cast cores for 22 & 30 cal bullets. They were home made by somebody not me. It would be simple machine job to make mold in diameters you want and have lead wire to cut up for shot.

Weaver made dozens of one piece bases that were the same except for the radius. On some 22s you have to cut out for ejection port. I always use bases that are for standard rings, not groove 22 rings.

Right, what he said above. I did a RB 32rf by using another breechblock. It was 32rf also and drilled for CF. I didn’t want to convert a near mint gun with a very nice bore.

About 20yrs ago I purchased a 30/40 RB at auction. It was a carbine, had Naval motif on top of reciever. It wasn’t marked with any letters or initials. The opinion was that it was from a Naval Cadet school of some type.
