I don’t think this is like past panics. They were because people thought that ammo & guns were going to be outlawed or severely restricted. This time around I think the media has the public whipped into the idea that civilization is going to go Mad...

I’ve owned many Brn HPs. I only bought one new in 1968. Have had commercial and military models. Just recently had West German Mauser made model. Fired little but worn from police carry. I lost interest in HPs as new when they started assembly in...

I have two 25-2 S&Ws and a Colt NS in 45acp. I dearly hate moons and load 45AR for the three of them. Use 45acp dies and data. Shell holder is the only difference. Load nothing but cast. I’m not into anything I need to speed load so I say shoot the...

I have a Win 53 rifle and Marlin 1894 ( original ) also a rifle in 32/20. They do a fine job on groundhogs and squirrel with lead bullet. I have had a couple 92s but bores were poor and I traded them off. My 53 which is basically a 92 rifle has a...

In 1969 I bought a Sako Finn Bear 375H&H magnum. I put a new Weaver K3x on that dude and never looked back. 3 years ago I sold all my big bore magnum hunting rifles. I took the scopes off them before sales. That K3 is now on a Marlin 1894 44mg....

I have the same rifle. I shot cast in it for years. The Lyman 322gr Gould Express HP cast 50/50 lead - WW over 21.5 gr of 2400 at around 1350fps. Bullet sized to .457”. No leading and very good accuracy. Killed several deer with this bullet in Rem...

I’ve seen 22s rupture that you can’t blame on the ammo. The old single shots, like Favorites with bad extractors would rupture or swell case every shot.

Back in 80s Outdoor Sports HQ was selling Charles Daily 22lr. House brand I think. We pulled it from shelves because of ruptured cases. This happened in several different guns. Had one guy had to go ER that was using a brand new Marlin BA rifle.

The point is you don’t need a FFL to ship to a FFL. You can ship UPS or Fedex yourself. Only FFLs can ship handguns in US mail. Individuals can ship long guns in the mail.

This is a rip off. I send guns UPS to FFLs all the time and only pay shipping. Depends where it’s going as to how much. My FFL charges a flat $35 but he can send USPS flat rate, so he’s making $20 a gun. ( insurance extra )

There would be no 223/ 5.56 if the long neck on 222 lent itself to full auto weapons. The 222 is one of those classics that would still be popular except the 223 and ARs have taken over. I don’t think there is enough difference in the two to make...
