If making mags was simple there would be a lot of them on the market. Many of the aftermarket mags at $40 @ don’t work that well. I’ve got 22 mags I have no idea what they are for. At $5 I never let one get buy. Voere, I would have to see one to...

I have never owned a 37, I too am Bogarting a mag for the one that will come down the road. I’ve had a dozen Win 52s, I think there must have been a lot more of them than Rem 37s.

I did a scope once, didn’t work out well. In Jack O’Connor’s book the chapter on scopes has in 1st paragraph, Two kids of people take scopes apart, experts and fools. I was not in expert category. Getting the older scopes serviced is pricey.

I had a highly sporterized carbine a few years back. Fancy stock, Blue and scope. Unfortunately as neat looking as it was, it didn’t shoot that well. I tried several bullets and the Sierra 110 was feed problem. The Speer 110 HP was not , nor the RN...

I have a big old South Bend, belt drive but I was interested in one of those small $500-700 jobs. Buddy of mine bought one and it’s a joke for anything serious. Might be ok for crafts if you are turning soft materials. In my neck of the woods it’s...

I’ve found S&Ws to be extremely accurate with cast boolits sized for the particular gun. I have and have had many, many S&Ws. I had no interest in service revolvers of Colt or S&W. I had several Pythons in 60 & 70s. Very fine shooting and I never...

I got my Ruger SBH when I was a kid because it beat owners knuckles. A guy my Dad worked with won SBH and only fired it a few times. My dad was always fascinated with SBH but had no use for a 44mg. Dad bought it for $50, a tidy sum in 1962. It bit...

I always liked the S&Ws over Colts in DAs. In the service revolvers S&W seemed to have best triggers out of the box. Colts are prone to have more problems. S&W made there rep with DAs, Colt with SAs. Today the earlier model guns of both are...

I did a stupid trick back in 70s. I got all the ammo out of a HWD that had doors since middle 50s over heirs & probate. There was a good bit of rimfire. Shot up a lot of the 22wrf and 22auto in 22mags for plinking ammo. In 22mg the 22wrf was like a...

This is not smart or reasonable. A m10 is a fixed sight service revolver. It is a K frame but m19s that are K 357s are built heavier.
