None of my choices are for concealment, I only carry Ns or Ks in the field. If I'm hunting with the gun the gun is not considered in the way. If you are engaged in doing chores and getting in and out of vehicles the 111 cyclone is best I've found....

There must be something wrong with these guns. They keep on working for 100+ years and never have to be sent back to factory.:D

I like the sights on your new pistol. I don't do New Model Rugers but the 3screws are probably the best SAs ever built. Their one glitch was sights. I have had many Ruger BH & SBHs that run out of adjustment , especially elevation drop. Looks like...

I've had them all, or have them. Most of my Ns are 6"-61/2" guns. I have one of each in 83/8" to. The most comfortable and acessable holster I have found for 6"ers is Bianchi Cyclone 111 cross draw The 83/8" is a PIA to carry no matter what you...

I hate Lee bullets with the ribs instead of grease grooves. I had one in 357 and my m27 shot them all over the place. I would like to get a Lyman or RCBS in 200gr range. I got on the list for one on the forum but sign up must be slow. If one of...

I no longer have any Ruger DAs, have a bucket of S&Ws. In m29 & m24 shooting 172gr WC over 8.5gr Unique. You can shoot them all day long. I'm in the market for a 200gr range WC mold which I plan to propel at approx 800fps. I have a few SWC & RN...

When I had a shop there was a kid right out of hi school who stopped in with a Rem 721 in 300H&H. Left to him by GPa. He wanted a box of ammo for it and couldn't find any at Wally World. He decided not to buy them because of cost. He continued to...

I'm totally cornfused myself. How many of these rounds are NIB factory. I saw it as 3 boxes 250 and 2 boxes 300, -1 rd. The rest handloads or brass. It makes a big difference in what I would pay.

I just bought a 99eg in 250/3000, 1950 vintage. Didn't want a eg but 250s are scarce in these parts. I had a straight stock 99 carbine when I was a kid, I don't remember what model it was. Around here anything other than 303sav or 300sav is a...

I don't use Lee bullets in any of my guns. They are designed to be tumble lubed in Alox. I only buy Lyman Ideal, RCBS or other quality mould with well defined grease grooves. I like square edges, it provides more surface on bullet to engage...

I usually have a 32/20 revolver S&W. Right now I don't. The 1905 model in 4" & 6" barrels are fairly common as well as Colts in my area. I want a 1905 4th change target model. The fixed sight models are ok but you have to fool with finding load &...

I never got the cap&ball bug. I had no interest in them unless they were originals, and then not to shoot. I use to pick them up for practically nothing on trades back in 60s & 70s. My old man liked to play with them so I gave them to him when I...
