The rear of my forearm was kinda wallowed out and gummy. The barrel bands and catches were fine but the rear of forearm had wiggle in it. The material I used was layed right in barrel channel in first 2". Cut off below flush.

I was at a gun auction a couple of years ago that had a trap shooters estate in it. They had a lot of sealed cans and kegs of powder. The first one up was win 630. Auctioneer had to take it clear down to $1 to get a bid. I knew what it was and got...

Haven't made any for a couple years. We were using McCormick Rootbeer extract. Only made it from scratch once. My Bro got the recipe from a Country Living magazine. We dug the sassafrass roots and gathered up the other ingredients naturally if we...

I had one back in 80s and never shot it because it was broke and missing parts. I did get 3 boxes of Win 38acp with it which I still have. Ammo looks to be from 1960s. I sold gun to a guy that wanted it for parts. I'm sure 3 boxes of ammo is worth...

It is a 336 Marlin but not a Marauder. The front sight dovetail was behind the barrel band. I no longer have a Marlin 336 in 35cal but have the Marauder in 30-30. I had 35cal also but was in poor condition and a guy offered me a deal I couldn't...

I cut 100 new Win 44mg cases down to make 44 Russian years ago. Was to dumb back then to know it was a problem. So was the gun it didn't know any better either, it shot them fine and never complained.

I had M1a and HK. Both good rifles and I like the M1a better, because I had experience with M14. The HK did shoot a tad better with GI ball. I didn't like the brass being fluted in HK chamber. The M1a can be loaded for to improve accuracy without...

I open it from pelvis to neck, split pelvis and cut out windpipe. Dump all the guts, I don't eat organs out of anything. Hang upside down and skin it out with a Skinning knife, about 4" blade with no point. About 10mins to skin, cut off at knees,...

I figured out the crazy high bids on line several years ago. It is caused by retired Navy Chiefs. As usual when the squibs hit the beech the local economy sky rockets. :D

Most useful? The 22 LR by far. It also has the soothing affect of not having to worry about brass.

I have a Lyman sight off a 74 Win. I think maybe a #55? It's a small sight with thumb lever on elevation. I think this model was a universal sight for a lot of 22s with tubular recievers of the day. I sold a H&R bolt action with same sight.

Yes, their isn't anything practical between 25/20 and 32/20. Getting bigger than 32/20 doesn't make much sense either. If you wanted something a little flatter shooting you might look at Hornet or Bee or the 30 carbine as someone has already said. I...

Half way between 25/20 & 32/20? That's not practical with 6.5 Creedmore. A 6.5mm is lager dia than 25/20 and smaller than 32/20. That has nothing to do with the loading.

Many disrespect 410s with slugs for deer. They aren't the best choice but at 25-30yds they have killed a lot of deer in my area. My wife killed 7 deer the first 7yrs she hunted. She was sitting in same stand and deer were within same few feet where...

Sorry, forgot to mention I use jackets on all game hunting, except in old original rifles. When I hunt with them it's usually in WVa and the shoots are not much over 100yds. These are loaded to BP duplication, not hot.

I've got some excellent bolt action rifles with scopes. On a windless summer day off a rest they are all capable of hitting a groundhog in the head at 300yds. Shooting 350-450yds in OPs situation with anything is not a reasonable responsible shot.

That's not my problem, bores like a new dime. This pistol is the exact opposite of any other I've owned. I've got a bucket of good handguns and they all shoot better with cast once you hit on the diameter, bullet & load. You can't push them as fast...
