There is definitely no way to tell that just from looking at a picture.

The best thing by a huge margin I have ever used is Emu oil, absolutely magical healing properties. Bit of a tricky thing for most to get their hands on though.

My experience on most boards is that splitting up a forum is usually to the detriment of both new halves.

Peregrine replied to a thread Danger at the range 2 in Our Town
Wow, that's something special for sure. If you look at my comment in the other "danger" thread where I said that was just stupidity, not much risk of blowing anything up, this one is actually really worrisome. Maybe the barrel was packed with...

I'm not sure danger is the right title here, more like "stupid". Are you going to use that brass to load 8mm now that it's properly fireformed? :bigsmyl2:

The idea of a secondary device is not a new tactic, it's in various field manuals i've read from the WW2 era as a suggestion. The IRA used it quite effectively at Narrow Water.

It would appear so from the picture if you look at the one on the far left. But that's just an odd quirk of the light, the groove doesn't actually look that was in person. The angle from the major diameter of the cartridge down to the bottom of the...

Hey all, I accepted some free for the price of shipping 7.5x55 brass (x50) that someone was offering on a forum, they received it in a trade with a rifle and never actually did anything with it themselves. Older PPU headstamp, generally it...

I just use an idiot stick. Acquire a piece of wooden dowel of the proper diameter to fit in the neck, cut it to a handy length, then weigh out the right charge into the case and insert the dowel on top. Mark how far it fits into the case...

I started a thread here about similar issues with my .223 not too long ago. I've eliminated most of the possible causes except for the firing pin spring, and I have a couple of those on order. I'll update there when I get them in.

From what i've heard on here cotton's well and good until you set your range on fire. Dracon doesn't burn anywhere near as readily, it will mainly just shrivel up under heat. I think in part that's what makes it such a versatile fill, the...

I mean you could just buy loaded Hornady SST Steel case stuff, it's not particularly expensive especially in the context of hunting applications. Try a box and see how you and the rifle like it. I'd think it would make a lot more sense to load...

I don't see what's head scratching about it. They can be deadly out to an extreme range. Can isn't good enough when you want to hunt ethically, but when we're talking about the consequences that an errant shot may have you have to assume the worst...

The answer to this in my mind depends in large part on how much brass you have lying around, and how much free time you have. No one on the internet can make judgement about the latter for you. How do you define excellent and what results...
