Thanks banger for clearing this up. I figured the reaction was more severe since it was ever noticed. Sounds like it was discovered due to not completly cured powder coat. Gonna continue filling my 50 cal cans loose now, not worried about this...

This and i never want to underestimate not only the ignorance of people towards firearms/ammunition but also their general unwillingness to learn. Trust my cast? Yes, carry them? No.

BrutalAB replied to a thread Henry .357 for deer in Leverguns
I started out hunting deer with my big boy 357. Boolit was the lee/rcbs 200 rf cast from stick on wheel weights (no tin) moving at a modest 1300 to 1350 fps. I consider it a 100 yard gun. Any further and you gotta be damn good at guessing the...

Zombie thread... Gonna be loading 38 s&w soon for my brother. Im expecting it to be very low volume. Reloading the same 50 pieces of brass over and over. With powder coat i have plenty of moulds to make boolits over .360 so that is covered. I...

Another reason to do it manually is if the pots drip at different rates.... and so you can clean out the spouts when they get clogged at different times....

This thread and shooting yesterday got me thinking (dangerous i know) But i started thinking, what if the traditional max speed for cast boolits is due more to this rpm max with high speed twist rates (production rifles intended for jacketed...

Any particular reason why #9 wouldnt work this way? Dont mean to be buggy, just like to know the why behind things, id rather save my #9 for my 357 mag loads anyways.

Got to do a little shooting at the 100 yard mark today. Decided to load up and test 20 grains of 2400, got a 2 inch group out of it. Not the best but its definitly a start. Will other magnum pistol powders work for this as well? I have lots of...

Sounds like a good idea, im tired of picking wood chips out of my freshly cast boolits. When the wooden wackers that ive been using get too bad, they get reduced to stirring the wax for fluxing, figure its just as good as the ever popular...

A lot of hate for amerc brass. Leads me to believe it is well deserved. Especially considering the only redeeming opinion is to turn it into a jacketed boolit. Thoroughly enjoyed the gluing primers in anecdote.

Been shot twice and still works. Recently dropped it and one of the skid marks turned into a hole. It eats batteries like no ones business though.
