    Its actually a Sharps and Hankins. The .45 fits nicely. The rim is big enough to head space correctly. But not extract. I have tried and fail to cast the chamber. It wont release. So I have gently heated the barrel and poured out the camber...

    I have a antique carbine with a camber that measure out to be about a 45 colt. To extract the rim needs to be about a .45-70. barrel slugs out to .465/.463. Cut down .45-70 does not fit. To large at the base Thoughts and ideas Thanks in...

    My Dad had two when I was growing up. It was a hoot to shoot. It was accurate too. I liked it better than the M-1; mostly due to reloading issues for a young kid. I was very worried about crushing my thumb.
