I have yet to anneal for swaging, but I like the idea of bonding the cores at the same time AND avoiding scale. I’m thinking of using a lead pot “filled” with argon and a piece of plate AL on top to minimize gas movement. Anyone tried it?

Before wasting time on the transfer issue I’d research the value of each. Assuming very low I’d put them in a box to sell at the next gun buyback.

I do indeed trust the Lord, and I myself have no fear of physical death since I view it as just a transition to a new life the timing of which is entirely in His hands. That said, I’d lie to the gunman, and then I’d kill him. Of course I’d pray for...

I learned that Hornady only warrants their press to the original purchaser. Not bad service, in fact it was generally quite good and really, should I have expected free repairs for a used press, probably not. Spent a couple days looking for...

To confirm, you have 4,000 lbs of lead on a single shelf? I was thinking these things were rated for 1,000 or 1,500 per shelf. Plenty for brass, but I’m surprised that they hold lead.

JimB.. replied to a thread 380 Brass too large? in Cast Boolits
I don’t load 380, but I have a bucket of range brass some of which shows the same bulge near the base. I assume it’s a Glock thing. I have a CasePro, but it hasn’t been worth the $180 to buy the 380 dies for it since I don’t load it yet. Sorry that...

357 Super Mag is a couple hairs longer than 357 Max, maybe .05 longer. Max was created after Super Mag, probably to avoid paying royalties.

Mine did too, but then I uniformed them and now they are not. Really should have noticed before I got into the second bucket of brass, but I was in the zone.

Indeed, unfortunately they have lg primer pockets and that’s rightfully frowned upon for .223 and 300blk. But I learned something!

I screwed up a few thousand pieces of brass, so wondering if I could cut them off and use the bottoms for 30 and 35 cal bullet jackets. Im new at this, but have dies for 358, would need to acquire the .308 dies. Is there a jacket making...

I would not see any advantage to corian on press board, which is what a countertop usually is, over 2 layers of 3/4” plywood glued together back to back (helps to flatten) with a 2x4 support structure. If it is just the corian, then no it isn’t...

Before you futz with it, email them, send some pictures, tell them that you just got it back from them in this condition and ask them what you should do. If they don’t just give you a new base I bet they’ll sell you one cheap.

Neko wafers or sweet tarts. Favorite ever was shotgun primers, but be sure to drill a small hole all the way through the board or they will come back at you.

I just sold mine purely because the primer collection is terrible. Just the wrong press for that operation. It also was a little sloppy in the linkage, but it only affected feel as the ram stayed rock solid.

May I ask your location? Your time would be better spent seeing if you’re local to someone here that will show you the process and give you some hands-on experience. FYI, load data is by weight so you either must have a scale or have a dipper...
