I have them in a handful of calibers and I believe that the only functional difference is the expander. Not sure what they mean by period packaging, mine came in green plastic boxes.

For quick little batches like that the FART is great. If you aren’t too picky about shiny primer pockets you can run without pins and save yourself some time and money.

Take the OT while you can, never know when you might be out for weeks or months. Work-life balance is important, but you have to think about it over a longer period than a day or a week. Work your butt off now and take a month with the family to go...

I’ll take 2,000 or whatever you have left in brass. Sorry, don’t generally reload nickel.

When you apply for unemployment be sure that the reason is “coronavirus” as that gives you additional benefits. Have you looked at the changes to FMLA? You might be better off taking leave for the next 3-6 months than sticking around.

I don’t think that the issue is the law or getting arrested, it’s that you’ve entered into a contract with an insurance company and if you’re violating it that’s also a violation of the loan agreement with the bank. If the house burns for unrelated...

Why not just plan the change the buffer every few years? I would think that having too much spring has its own risks as you go into battery more forcefully than designed.

What’s going on is his buddy is an FFL and charging $150 for the transfer, then kicking some of it back. Also explains the lies about what the USPS will or will not do. Nice gun though!

I paid $60 to send one UPS a couple months ago. The beauty of using the FFL is that they can use USPS, and I’d expect it to be cheap.

I once asked this and was told that it’s better to cut them off before annealing, the annealed brass is a little grabbier when sawing. I’m planning to anneal after cutting and before forming, but I haven’t however actually converted any yet.

Increasing surface area would expose more tin to the air causing it to oxidize. Melt it in a dutch oven, only enough to fill it maybe 1/2” and stir it aggressively with a slotted spoon for 10 min, skim off the oxides, pour an ingot and test the...

Don’t know, I assume that the tin and antimony would work their way to the top, but even so it’d be a lot easier to just pour ingots and trade for pure lead.

What Sharps said, the mandrel is your friend. 3 jaw chucks are not very precise, but if you chuck up a piece of bar and then turn the mandrel and never remove it from the chuck it’ll center the work well. You’ll also want to prep the brass as...

I do believe that your son has 2 fingers on the trigger. I dry fire, you dry fire, but young children should not dry fire. They don’t understand the basic rules, and creating exceptions complicates it greatly. You’ve already made the decision by...
