I would also remind him that if you write out that whole statement in the End you will find B.-S. every time. Then after hearing it the third time he would find himself a much lonelier person.

I applied for the Village Idiot position once but was beat out by my brother. Those 44 and 50cal bullets can burn up a lot of lead in a hurry so I would suggest a pot that is going to hold at least 20#.. I cast a lot of smaller 2 cavity molds...

rbuck I have also seen where people have taken a piece of clear cellophane tape and covered the open slot to keep powder out. I find the bigger culprit to be powder getting under the case and into the primer seating anvil to where the primer will...

rbuck351 I load 380, 9mm, 45acp and 38Spl on my Pro1000 and to solve the powder spill on rotation I have developed the habit of placing the bullet in station 2 after it comes down from the powder measure and just before it starts to rotate. Also...

Now my experience has been the complete opposite with the Pro1000. Like you and so many others as long as the primer chute is kept clean and full I have no problems. I start with a cleaned brass case and size, prime, fill and seat all on the press....

Bigslug I wholly agree. This isn't the worst of the OCD. This is more of a curiosity than anything. My real OCD comes in the form of weigh checking powder drops. Even though I use a powder measure with powders that are very consistent I still weigh...

Don't have any Bullseye but I do have AA#2. For now all the ranges in this area are shut down so this will be in a holding pattern for a time. Blows hot air because I have 4 other 45acp cast loads waiting to test.

Agreed that I don't believe there would be any great advantage by doing this though as I stated in my 1st post that it is more out of curiosity and a way to judge my own consistency with what I'm doing. But as long as I'm doing it I might as well...

Winger Ed, that's something to think about. I also have a Lee 452-200gr RNFP mold that I have cast before also so now I may just have to cast up another 100 of so and compare the results. I have also changed from Ladle pour to bottom pour so I...

That thought had entered my head and I did have an intention of trying that process at a future date. So looks like that date may be sooner than later! Does the Hi-Tek coating add as much material as the powder coat?
