Smoke's advice to shake up and down after swirling has been useful to me. The swirling puts excess coating, and the up/down shaking knocks off the excess. Takes a little trial/error to get the right number of shakes. Too many and things start...

Another pic of the 401-175-TC. It is the powder coated. There are also an assortment of cast 10/40 bullets from Accurate, LBT, NOE, and Lyman that are, or were, in my quiver. All do fine in the Glocks.

The Lee 175-TC is a great profile. Hated the mold. So if you like Lee molds, this is a good one. FYI, mine were powder coated. Might look at the NOE version of the TC too. I also had the 401638. Also a great profile, but the mold had issues. ...

Agreed! The last couple Steel Challeng matches I shot with 10mm Auto and my own cast/coated boolits. Some fun, even if my times would be quicker with several cartridges.

Oh my gosh. I need to do a better job of reading. I misread 359 thinking it stated 356. With 359 and PC it will be the wrong size for my needs. Gentlemen, I am sorry to withdraw. And will update the post above.

Find an old used RCBS or Ohaus 5-0-5. Don't go cheap on a scale. Powder measures can bw had for an inexpensive price used. They are of little benefit if the scale doesn't permit an accurate setup of the powder measure.

I'll second that sentiment. I obtained one of the NOE 4 pound ingot molds. It is really nice to use. The fact that they connect so nicely to NOE (or Lee) handles makes them extremely handy. I have a couple of RCBS ingot molds too. Work great, but...

That's a REALLY good point. For newbies, Smoke4320's powder is a great starting point, and why so many of us recommend it.

Yes, I've seen cases like that from my cleaner. Gets stuck on there pretty stubbornly. Since I tumble off case lube, I attribute it to a critical mass of buildup of lube in the media that causes the rouge and dust to adhere to the cases. That is...

The link posted above by M-Tecs is all you need. Starline is the only handgun brass that I buy. It is that good of a value. I have some Starline cases over 10 years old with at least 20 rounds though a Glock chamber, and Glock 40 cal chambers aren't...

Hey, that's how I do it. I don't lube my own, but it seems like I'm always coming across old reloads from trades and so forth that inend up pulling down. Feed a bullet or two, here and there, to the pot.

Right there with you Walter. Down to just a few HG 50s, some Accurate 10mms, and a handful of Lee 9mms. A month or two. That is after I had to suck it up and do a summer casting session. I underestimated my needs when casting for the season during...

HF red is fine. Works just fine. I moved on to Smoke4320's powder and never looked back. In fact, gave away a pound of HF Red to a friend since I have no use for it. I've tried 5 of Smoke's powders. 5 out of 5 work great with the ASBBDT method. All...

Gentlemen. I'm quite a bit more educated on the topic, but still not confident. The danged issue I've had is schedule. Have literally not had a minute to go meet the guy. If I do, I'm probably not interested in the closed loop whatevers. Too much...

BB are a little slicker to load, generally. That being said, I have found that flat bases interface better with brass that has been expanded with an M profile expander. Bullets sit straight when topped onto the case before seating. This is because...

Wow, Doug Guy that was an informative read. I've learned much from you, Sir, in my short time as a member at CB. Regarding the 2R mold, if your pistol has minimal throat, The 2R must be seated extremely short. Like 1.05". Some guns just don't...

My favorite powder for 9mm boolits is Smoke's Signal Blue. Oh, wait, you mean smokeless powder. Hah! I don't load the heavies, but mid weight 9mm I prefer WSF and Unique. WSF moreso.
