They do that sometimes, and I don't consider it to be a problem.

FYI, no need to get Cowboy RCBS dies. The only dimensional differences vs the standard dies is the expander plug and sometimes seating stem profile. In a standard set, the expander can be retroffitted with a "Cowboy" expander assembly. $7. Adds a...

A new Lyman 401638 4 cav mold with handles. $95 shipped. USPS MO or PayPal are acceptable. Please post "I'll take it" here and send a PM. This mold was a warranty replacement for mold that I had trouble with. This too will need a little...

It us an interesting question because several of the powder companies listed don't actually make powder. E.g. Hodgdon, Winchester, Accurate, Etc. And others source powder from a variety of manufacturers abroad. General Dynamics in St. Marks, Fl...

Not many of us have just one press. I grow weary loading high volume ammo on a SS, and a turret wouldn't be quick enough. So the short-sighted view asks which press. The long view is what is the right path to presses that will cover all bases. ...

If the sizer has a threaded opening, it can be retrofitted with a decap assembly. Then the de-cap pin can be removed from the expander. RCBS sent parts to me for free for a mid 70s era die set.

Another here that has Glocks that see PC cast almost exclusively. Great results.

Good advice so far. Here is a bit of a recap. For starters, the .224" bullet is trying to seat into a neck that is probably sized to an interior diameter of .221". Step 1. Get an expander plug/ball that sets the neck ID no smaller than .222"....

This thread has been one of the best reads that I have encountered in some time. Accidentally poetic, almost. Being in my mid 40s, I am not old or young, but am at the phase in life where a fact of life is becoming evident: none of this is...

It seems like I've never received an email reply when contacting NOE. However, the phone has been answered when I called, and I received friendly and competent service each time. It would be a good business decision to figure out why the email...

Congratulations on the new rifle! Powder coating is effective, inexpensive and simple to do. Also devoid of lube mess and smoke. If NOE will ship to the UK, then their die and sizing bushing can be specified in .417". No honing required. Be...

I love zombie threads! I'm a big fan of the 10mm. Awesomely versatile cartridge. A Glock model 20 is a capable platform. Loaded with an LBT 200 gr WFN at 1250 fps gives me plenty of confidence in the backcountry. That being said, I am...

It is an interesting time. Probably no better time for the availability of great quality molds. But with the retirement of the Pro Melt, we are basically left with Chinese made units from Lyman or RCBS and the Lee. That is unless stepping way up to...

Same here. The two that I work with (made within the past three years) drop over nominal diameter. The 38-150-SWC drops .359 and the 45-255-SWC drops .453, IIRC. Alloy is 3% Sb 1% Sn and bottom poured.
