Excellent shooting, sir! Don’t you mean “rock bumming” instead of “woods bumming”?

As a kid I would take a nest to the pond with me, carefully break it open and use the larvae and spiders to catch fish with my cane pole. All my barn guns are muzzle protected from them. I’ve never killed an adult dirt dauber on purpose; I’ve never...

With your action open, take a small rod and push forward on the rear of the firing pin. The tip should protrude from the bolt face a little. If not, it’s definitely broken. It sounds like disassembly time.

I'm pretty much a RCBS guy, but I got rid of my Rockchucker Supreme & bought the MEC Marksman. It was a good switch & I'm very pleased with the MEC. No more ejected primers on the floor & a super smooth & heavy duty press. If you buy one, I feel...

We are fond of these little window stickers here. They have big voices for their tiny bodies. I love to eat mature bullfrogs but all the other toads and frogs are left be. I always liked the old saying- "If you eat a toad frog first thing in the...

These days it seems like I shoot all handguns better with just my dominant hand. 45 years of ingrained Weaver/Cooper two handed shooting is tough to fight against; but here I am. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

Double set triggers are quite sensitive to dirt- but you say that the hammer falls. What does the primer on the unfired round look like? If it has a light dent the problem may be a weak spring or dirt in the firing pin tunnel. I have no experience...

Winston 10, I simply suggested a safe starting load. If I hurt your feelings by stating that .300 Savage data was a bit high to start with, sorry for that. I was comparing chamber pressure numbers as well. Anyway, have a good day.

Piece of cake to find the path with a valve locator/ wire tracer since you had the foresight to install the copper wire in the ditch. Some irrigation supply houses rent them out. The bent wire witching works if your voodoo is correct- seriously....

It may vary depending on the part of the country that you are in. There are no $99 dollar Remington 700s( or any other brand of CF rifle) anywhere close to here. There is a statewide gun buying/selling/trading online site that I dont even look at...

Varget probably holds the record for becoming a “classic” powder in the shortest amount of time. I keep several pounds of it because it has worked splendidly in .223 on up to 30-06 with no problems.

My unsolicited opinion is that the H110/W296 is not the problem- crappy brass syndrome is. It’s been said before- Winchester should have based it on 5.56 brass to begin with. I see and read about problems that seem to be unique to the “Legend”; but...
