jimlj replied to a thread Lawyer Am I wrong. in Our Town
I just set up a family trust, living will, last will and POA's. All signed and recorded last week in fact. I paid $2500. My wifes folks did the same thing about 9 years ago for $2000. I'm sure I could have had it done for less, but I'm more...

I've known several postal workers who have been nothing but nice and helpful. I have also dealt with some that were worse than having the dentist drilling on my teeth. The same could be said about everyone at one time or another. Have you ever had...

jimlj replied to a thread Robins and Onions Problem in Our Town
When I was a kid Robins were strictly off limits for me and my brothers BB guns. The cats would dispose of any evidence of other birds, but for some reason they wouldn't touch a Robin. Mom always knew when we shot one. That all changed when Mom got...

jimlj replied to a thread Am I the only one here....? in Our Town
I'm 62. I have done 99% of anything I have ever needed done in the past. I still do, but it takes longer for me to recover between each job. The reason I started doing most of my own projects is I couldn't afford to pay someone else to do them. My...

The potatoes I had in with the ribs on Saturday were put in a little over an hour before I pulled them out. They were the small potatoes from a bag, not the big bakers you could buy pre hoarder mentality. I had the temperature at 225*. They should...

The bottom picture looks way better than the log we used to use when I was a kid.

I have never found the spooge in a tube from the grocery stores to be much good. I'm guessing its more like 50/50 than the 80/20 it says on the label. I agree a bit more fat makes the burger taste better. I'd just thaw a pound of each that you...

Three racks of ribs and potatoes on the smoker right now. Doing the 3-2-1 method, just pulled the foil off for the final hour of smoke. If they are half as good as they smell they will be excellent.

The worse I have ever seen them was on the Green River north of Labarge WY. I took my son fishing there and a black cloud gathered around the truck before we got out. It went down hill from there. They are not too bad where I live now. Except for...

I wouldn't do it. Being debt free has been the most comforting thing for me these past couple months. I can turn off the lights and cut my power bill, but a RV that isn't used still needs the payment made if you finance it.

I'm cooking for my wife and her mom for mothers day. I have baked potatoes in right now (thanks for the idea Mary). Some steak going on in about an hour with shrimp to follow.

Make sure all the dust and pet hair is vacuumed from the coils. When I had a golden retriever it was a yearly thing to pull the fridge out and vacuum the coils.

Not a security issue, just the way it turned out. The lock is to keep the honest people honest. Most of the time the door is unlocked, just want to keep the wind from blowing it around. The door has 7/16" OSB inside, 1 1/2" frame with 1/2" T1-11...

Thanks for the ideas. I bought a Schlage lock set that apparently no extension kit is available for. I'll return it and pick up a Kwickset lock and extension and make it work.

I built a shed with a homemade door that measures close to 3" thick. I thought a typical door knob would work but there is no way. Does anyone know of a set that will work on that thick of door?

I don't like PayPal's politics, but that could be said of many business that I've given my money to. I disagree with some of Targets policy's, but sometimes they are the only place that has what I need at the time. I don't like some of AT&T's...
