At Christmas time I paid $69 for a stripped lower locally(tax, shipping and transfer fee included), and $299 for a complete kit minus lower from Palmetto. I've been watching for the right upper with 20" bbl and Wylde chamber for the next one.

I see no reason you couldn't use the ultrasonic cleaner. If it were me I'd disassemble them first so you could be sure the crud was all out. I don't know about oiling the spring. I think I would look at some kind of dry lube. It's been a while since...

There you have it folks. Look at the price of about any commodity in the late 1800's. Compare quantity you could buy for an ounce of gold against what you can get for the same ounce of gold today. Having said that, I purchase precious metals from...

To the OP, I think you have been given some good advice. Buy known brands of silver bars and rounds. I'd stay away from Billy Bobs mint bars and rounds because as mentioned they could be made from about anything. I'd also seriously consider US...

I rarely clean them like most here mention. My .22's get cleaned when they start to malfunction. My carry gun gets cleaned and lubed after a range trip, and wiped down with an oily cloth from time to time between. I have some in the safe that have...

I remember it cheaper...less than $5.00 a carton. Mid to late 60's. I didn't have a job at the time so I could never afford it. My dad, who did have a job couldn't afford to buy it in the quantity that would keep his 5 boys shooting. When I started...

I did not shoot as much 22 during the shortage, but I still shot it when I wanted to. It was true you could reload some calibers of ammo for less than the price of .22lr, but as was pointed out before, the time involved in reloading had to be...

Howard Leight. I like them outside shooting pistol. I can't shoot rifle or shotgun with them, too bulky. The worst pain/ringing in the ears I have ever had was shooting inside and the leakage around my glasses. The only time I'll use them inside...

jimlj replied to a thread Opioid/heroin crisis? in Our Town
In my earlier post I may have used a broad brush to paint the problem, but in my case it was 100% accurate. I have visited with other patients of the same doctor who received a similar prescription, and had fairly similar results with the pain...

jimlj replied to a thread Opioid/heroin crisis? in Our Town
I think opioids are over prescribed. I had a hernia operation 4 weeks ago. The doctor gave me a prescription for Percocet. The directions said to take 1 or 2 pills every 6 hours for pain as needed. I ended up taking 3 pills the first day, 3 the...

I only have a cell phone. If I don't recognize the number calling, I don't answer it. When it goes to voice mail my message is "If your call is important to you, leave a message. If it's important to me, I'll call you back." The ones that matter...
