Earlwb replied to a thread 6.5 Creedmore - NOT in Factory Rifles
Well basically, the 6.5 CM was intended for a short bolt action rifle. But they wanted to use the longer heavier high BC bullets with it. So they had to shorten the case a little and blow it out some too. That allowed them to use the longer bullets...

Nice rifle. It turned out pretty good. I always liked the rifles like these. You don't get upset if the rifle gets dirty, or scratched or something when out hunting. I remember some guys who refused to go into the brush as they didn't want to...

I would have just loaded up some black powder 8mm rounds and use it as is? the first 8mm rifles used black powder ammo and then switched to smokeless shortly afterwards. But your conversion is great and looks good too. Nice job. Years ago it was...

1883 is correct. In 1770 a British guy applied for a patent to line or rule paper with a machine. Before then it was manually done by scribes, etc. In the 1800's machine printed lined paper became hugely popular too. Most everyone started using it.

All of the revolvers chambered to work with the .45 ACP cartridge worked fine for me. I used to have a nice S&W Model 25-2 for quite a few years. I regret selling it too. Anyway it worked great and was amazingly accurate with the 6 inch barrel. ...

I used to own a Marlin Camp carbine in .45ACP caliber. It was a hoot to shoot, I really liked it. But I got talked into selling it one day and I regretted it ever since. My best friend has a Marlin Camp Carbine in 9mm and he likes it a lot.

There are quite a few inexpensive AR's out there. So that isn't a problem. Lots of choices to pick from. Now you can build your own too. A few specialized tools and you can custom build your own AR. You do not have to be a rocket scientist to build...

About Earlwb
Biography:
I started hunting and using guns when I was about 10yoa. I have been doing it ever since, sometimes with a hiatus for a while though. I first got into reloading when I was 16yoa with a 7.65 Argentine Mauser and a 12 ga shotgun. I really enjoyed that too. I do have quite a few bullet molds that I have acquired over the years and I cast many bullets myself to be used.
