In the Herter's catalog in 1962 (I believe it was Herter's ..but may have been another catalog) This gun sold for About $10 shipped to your door. The advertisement said "This is the gun that lost the war for Italy" I thought that was funny. A...

Tin is approximately 9x the value of lead. It is used in bullet making but only a small amount is needed. You only need 2% tin in an alloy IF you are having difficulty filling the mold. 9mm is a tricky cartridge to load lead bullets for. Powder...

Very very nice. For the first time, you are doing extremely well. One thing I would still suggest though is to make the start of the ogive about .348" and do step at the start of the bearing surface. It's easier than you may think. If you start out...

Many people size their bullets after powder coating. When that is done, allowing for the exact thickness of powder coat is not necessary. In fact powder coat varies a great deal in thickness. It even varies from one batch to another a lot of times....

This is the shape I would recommend for a 9mm. It is from the Lee 120gn mold. You can lose the grease grooves. But keep the step at the start of the ogive. It is necessary for the cartridges to chamber in most guns. It may be easier to cut these by...

When you shoot a lead .17 cal bullet at 4200 fps you will see a "little cloud of dust" a few feet out of the barrel. That would be your bullet disintegrating into lead dust. You may wonder why you "can't get a hit on paper" at 50 feet.

In Corbins swaging instructions he references a technique of swaging in a plastic ball just under the nose of the bullet. But you need to swage that in. Something that I found with swaging lead is that you can run a hollow point pin in then re swage...

When I was a kid we used to do the whole roll thing. One kid who wanted to join in the fun (8 yrs old?) got a box of 22 shorts out of his dads stash and was on the porch hitting them with a hammer. I will never forget. I guess the kids around here...

I have a compilation of accidents in history that happened with armstrong mix. It is by far the most dangerous thing you will have in your house. You MUST not put more than about 15 rounds worth in a container. I don't even put 10. As I recall one...

Yes, I forgot to say but you probably realized that you have to do it right away before it dries out..Or you have to re-wet it so the clumps come off correctly. I could have soaked that one about 10 to 15 seconds longer.
