Wellllllllll, if you end up getting a suppressor you will want a gas check to prevent filling the suppressor with lead. I’m not sure if powder coating will prevent lead in the baffles but I know from personal experience it will start building up...

Iím down for some reasonable conspiracy theories 243 but that just doesnít shake out bud. Not attacking you just saying as boolit casters we make up a very minor percentage of the shooting public. Not even enough to be a thought by any anti-gun...

I got furloughed about two months ago but I have a large savings and I’m going to school on the GI bill so money will return for sure when I go back to class. However this has been a blessing in disguise because I have finally started casting and...

Please believe I’m not saying you are wrong but if this is completely true then how is it that I can cast and heat treat hard bullets then the next day file the bullet and hit it with my lee tester and get a significant hardness such as 28bhn?...

I’ve had the same temptation but I always buy new guns and and calibers based off of a specific job. If you assign a role to the gun and caliber you won’t regret it. For instance I had an M-1 carbine that wasn’t GI or collectible. Fun gun with zero...

Didn’t your moma ever tell you if you didn’t have anything nice to say? Because that applies to my thread. Please suspend all further petty and non-constructive remarks so when people look back at this post for help they don’t read a bunch of petty...

Went back and casted some more up a couple weeks ago and got to shooting them today. I still can’t do better than a 4” group with these and my solid gas checked lube groove mold is still dropping them at 214grn using 15 lbs pure lead and 1/4lbs of...

Gotta love the bickering that goes on in these forums. Love my lee pot and that fix made all the difference. I clean my pot pretty regularly so the valve with an added weight works just fine for me.

Neat video, ole Elmer Keith sure knew what he was talking about. He loved hunting with wadcutters, normally semi-wadcutters because they fly better over distance but they have the same kind of wound channel.

If you want I have a PSA 9” barrel I can loan you for testing if you want. I plan on using it to build my brother a pistol with a brace when he turns 21 in October.

Itís a good point, I would consider a good test medium and harden up your alloy till you get the amount of penetration you want before expansion or hopefully you are already there.
