I picked up a Lyman TMag2 on sale (closeout to make way for the new model). It has six stations. It is set up for one caliber at a time. What I like about it is that it lets me load to completion either a few or a lot of cartridges, without changing...

Now I have to figure out what to do with all the store-bought bullets I have stock piled. What surprises me is how many usable bullets I had cast in a short period of time with a two-cavity used eBay mould and a ten pound pot outdoors in my...

I know it’s a small thing to those of you who have been casting for decades. But today I shot my first cast bullets, pictured above. .44 special, 453 gn 429421 Lyman, sized to .430 with the Lee sizing die. Mostly clip on wheel weights. The lube was...

I am a very new caster. Cast some, lubed, and now loading. The sized wt for 44 spl dropped at 253 gn. The mould is supposed to drop at 240 gn after sizing. I get that different alloys come out at different wts. Can I extrapolate a Unique powder...

fn1889m replied to a thread Another new caster in Cast Boolits
When I lubed the bullets this morning, and examined them more closely, I could see more/new flaws. My score dropped from 90 to 75 sometime in the night. But overall, am satisfied for the first casting session. Nothing that canít be done better next...

I cast about 100 .430 (429421). First time casting. No mentor. Used the Lee sizing die, Lyman pot and ladle. They came about at 253 gn. I used wheel weights and remelted cast WC bullets someone donated to me for lead. I smelted for a couple weeks...
