From my experience: iron will last longest, take the most abuse, holds heat best and drops easiest. I have numerous H&G and Ideal iron molds (single cav all the way up to 6 cav) that have lasted since the 40s when Grandpa bought them. Highest...

Edge is horrible. Reminds me of MSM browser that MS tried to force on us years ago in Windows XP. Never had any issues with Google Chrome (company standard browser on our work laptops) and always loved Firefox when using PC. Personal...

4-20 is a great low cost option. As mentioned above, PID is a great addition when financials allow. Down the road PID can be used with other items or multiple pots too if so desired.

I work in retail and in 2014 we replaced all our lighting in most of my stores with LEDs. Back rooms got 4’ replacement bulbs wired into existing fixtures where we removed the ballasts and store fronts got recessed new fixtures. Across 30 stores I...

On my Saeco I just built my own. Used a board, attached some angle brackets, than ran some of steel spacers between the brackets with bolts. Wasn’t perfect but it worked pretty decent. Photo is the early version before I added a second one....

I believe it’s the trace arsenic your looking for to get harness increase when water quenching. Reason a lot of casters like wheel weights is cause it has said trace amounts of arsenic to add this ability. That being said, and someone else...

I’m not sure on this but when I first started buying MP molds it seemed like this was Miha’s side hustle. If memory serves he told me his day job was programming of some sort (web design?). I was under the impression he just has the CNC for doing...

I haven’t been too active in the GB side of the forum lately, has any of Miha’s GBs gone through lately? Just curious if this is a pin issue or a low priority buy?

As long as your mold is clean and smooth it won’t scrape the PC. Sizing swags down the lead rather than shaving it so as long as there should be no issue with PC. That being said I used to have some Lyman 45/450/4500 sizers that had burs in the...

Magma seems to be very customer centric and genuinely good team. They repaired my grandpas Star sizer from the 40s and it works great. They had to find a welder cause theirs had just quit but very reasonable pricing and great communication.

I don’t think it’s a 429244, 244s have a rounded crimp groove instead of the ramped style. Ramped style makes me think it’s something more modern? Check out Accurate Molds’ designs and see if you can match that profile in his catalogue. If you find...

Depending on the source of the lead you could parse it out and sell here or on Fleabay to fund buying the equipment too. Might also see if anyone is willing to trade straight lead for equipment. There is a couple members on here with access to...
