I might also suggest getting a .300 Blackout instead of 5.56 because you are a reloader and caster of boolits. Or get both. See where we're going here?

I would pay for a single .38-55 unprimed cartridge with cast boolit seated to lever action specs. It doesn't need to be shiny or new. Thomas

Randy, I would try to find an original 1893 Mauser extractor and save that blank one for hard times. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

And just today I received an email from primary arms. They are offering a 458 Socom Barrel for $100 and they include a stripped upper receiver free! Wheels are turning. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

GI are all roll pins. I don't remember the manufacture but there was a scope mount that used the slot for the stripper clip guide for a scope mount that required the receiver be threaded.

Replace the cartridge guides would be a good start. If the loading gate is flush and springy it's probably ok. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

Did OWS give you a 98 extractor by mistake? The extractor should not bow out noticeably with a case in it. Relief at the point indicated won't help if the claw is too deep. I had a bent one once and I made it work by dremel drum sanding the outside...

My FN 15 costs $1000. My last build was $350. A tie in the accuracy dept.(very good). It's fun to build them; it seems like I always have one in the works. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

I have a Win 94 and a Glenfield 36G, both 30-30. I want to send one to JES for the 38-55 treatment. But which one? The 36G is a tack driver; the 94 is not but It's been in the family longer than me. Decisions, decisions! Sent from my...

If a 44-40 Reamer would clean it up that's what I'd do if a barrel search proves fruitless.

If you reload for it, try 125 gr 357" jacketed bullets and watch it outshoot most if not all of your existing pistols. They are very accurate guns even with a frosty bore(like all of mine had). And the quality of manufacture is stunning. A .50 AE...

I consider the GP and the SP to be heavy pigs compared to the Security, Speed and Service Six series. But that's just me. The .44 Special GP100 is a step in the right direction, though. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

Anytime I got a lickin', I knew I would get it before I did whatever stupid thing I was about to do. Looking back, it was worth it, as the lickin' didn't last long, and I did some pretty outrageous (for the times) things.

A little over the .447" base diameter of the x39 cartridge is the simple answer but it would help to have an example of the bolt handy. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

+1 on Palmetto. Premium grade gets you an FN barrel for reasonable $. But the Ruger route is good thinking, too. I have one of each and a few more. They are fun, Tazman. Jump in. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

The Med flat rate box will hold more the 70lbs of ingots, but 70lbs is the maximum USPS will allow you to ship in one. With tight fitting ingots, you can fit 20 lbs of ingots in a small flat rate box, and you can fit 6 small flat rate boxes in a...
