I accidentally discovered years ago that you can "mustard" brass with cold blue. Any body and everyone can have a glossy blue shiny brass muzzleloader; I like mine to look more genuine. My .02! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

I have only used CFE 223 in .223, .308, and 8x57 with jacketed. It gives great performance in all three. It's a keeper here. I'm sure it can be used somehow for cast.

I have a Lyman 410610 mold that I need to cast at a fast rhythm, so the mold temp it higher than is typical, to achieve a slightly smaller diameter. The difference in size is about .001 from boolits that are cast with the mold at a typical...

Get starline 223 basic brass, put a reamer pilot in and trim to length. I use a forster trimmer with the reamer installed and the drill adaptor. I've also turned the necks, but the last 1000 or so cases I've modified including the Starline 223...

When steel first came out lots of people reloaded it using standard shotcups. The shot would push thru the pedals and leave grooves starting at the forcing cone. On the ones I have seen it was worse at the chamber end.
