I have a Lee push through die marked .357 and use it regularly. The boolits measure .3575 coming out of it. I really don't think the tolerances in their dies are all that tight. Just buy one and if it doesn't size quite large enough, polish it open...

There are lots of different ways to help with recoil and muzzle flip in handguns. Two of them are barrel compensators and barrel porting. Does one work better than the other?

First off, Glock pistols are ugly. That said, I don't mind ugly if it works reliably and shoots accurately. Glocks have a reputation for both. And I won't be looking at the gun when I am using it, just the sights. I have never owned one. I have...

Unlikely. Normally that won’t peel lead off a boolit.

Do a search on the site for "Lee 140 in 9mm" and you will get many threads on the subject.

I found one for a short action but not the long action. MDT makes the short action chassis.

You need to develop enough pressure to seal the chamber with the brass. With rifle cartridges, this takes more pressure. The only way to get the pressure without too much velocity is by using faster powders.

I had one of those days last week. I shot some plated for a while and then switched to lubed and I could really tell the difference. Nobody else there to comment about it. I haven't purchased any factory cast boolits for several years. Does hard...

Wives can be like that. Whenever I fill out 4473, I tell them that it is only my wife who thinks I'm crazy. I have had people comment on how smoky my loads were but since the ventilation was working well they didn't try to stop me from shooting....

In that case, I would suggest trying a different brand of boolit. Something is wrong with those since they are spraying that much lead. There are lots of people out there making boolits.

If you can't push your current boolits through the cylinder, going to a larger boolit will be a complete waste since the cylinder will size the boolits down to the cylinder throat size when fired. You should find out what size the groove diameter...

I shoot at a range that is membership only(and any guests) but with a large membership(over 1400 last count). Due to that, you never know who is shooting next to you. At the indoor range and when the bench rest range is crowded, I tend to watch...

The bases on those are fine. They are designed with a slight bevel on the base. No problems there at all. Look at the picture on the Lee website for that boolit. https://leeprecision.com/6-cavity-tl358-158swc.html

tazman replied to a thread My First Cast Bullets in Cast Boolits
The ones in the picture look good to me. I would shoot them. Getting your mold up to heat is always an issue and causes wrinkles and boolits that don't fill out correctly. Lightly frosted boolits are not a problem. IF you read the Lee...

That is a kind of mid range hardness used in pistol rounds and low velocity rifle loads. It is easily achieved with lots of different alloys and works well in the majority of handguns. You will find that sizing to fit your particular gun will have...
