Well-- in most computers it puts it in a folder called downloads-- but I don't know if that is universal.

Yes to all the above with the Lyman Lube sizer (I use one too), but at pistol velocities you can also use tumble lube. I use a lot of Ben's Liquid Lube with excellent results for pistols.

I wouldn't worry about it. You have a very good mold there! The Lyman 358-156 started off with Ideal (before Lyman) and has survived the test of time. Both my 38 Special and 357 revolvers love it and my Henry 357 rifle as well. It is a great...

While the media get bashed a lot-- there is truth in blaming the media. 50 years ago, people with extreme views tended to get shut down by those in their community that were more rational. The reason was that people with extreme views were in a...

I only use Win LR in my Garand-- but that's just because they are what I could buy. They work fine. Haven't tried the others.

I measure them every fall as shooting winds down. In the beginning, when I was full length sizing they did grow, but since I switched to neck sizing (about 6000 rounds and five years ago) I see no growth. Since it is a Garand, I do not load beyond...

Perhaps yours do-- but not mine. Been using the same brass for over 8000 rounds in my M1 Garand without trimming and they all still chamber. Even my newest brass has over 10 reloads.

If you don't get your hands on the swager-- there is a way to eliminate the blisters- but its still a little tedious. Put the case in a hand drill nose first and run the drill while holding the primer pocket reamer.

While there is a ton of good information in these posts-- I see one thing not mentioned. The "headspace" for a 30-06 case is the distance from a datum point on the shoulder to the face of the bolt. What this means, is that if you fire full loads...

I have a Ruger 357 Magnum revolver and a Henry rifle in 357 Magnum-- but I've had trouble locally finding magnum small pistol primers. So I did testing with the Ruger to see how much difference the primer makes. Using Winchester small pistol...

Not to utilize a mold, but I have a very large stock of 30 caliber J-bullets in 150 grain, boat-tail, spitzers. They load waaaaay to long to put in a Win 94 magazine (which would be stupid anyway with the spitzer points) but they shoot very...

Nice idea. If I had your tool setup I could have saved a little money. I use the RCBS conversion die. It is a 7.65 die with an open top that is preset to the correct length for 7.65 x 53. You just put in either a 30-06 or 270 case, pull the...

Glad you all came out OK. Most cases are not killers. The only scary part is that you don't know if it will hit you bad until you get it. Now you know that you are on the good side genetically. Nice thing to know!

Hick replied to a thread 9mm hardness? in Lead and Lead Alloys
I use an alloy I bought from another reloader when he got out of reloading (old age issues). Seems to be roughly 1:10 tin/lead. Not sure how hard that is but it works great in all my pistols and my Henry rifle in 357 magnum (1500 fps at its...

Gonna go out on a limb here (if I'm wrong I'm sure someone will let me know). as-fired jacketed bullets I have seen still have the shape they had before firing. Boat tailed bullets are still boat-tailed after hitting a berm. I suspect, therefore,...

I have. I have a PB spire point mold that I PC and run up to 2000 fps in my M1 Garand. That was with Smoke's durable clear PC (dry tumble process). I size them to 0.309 before and after PC. I also PC without gas checks for my SMLE (0.303),...

If you cannot find the right pencils, you can also use the ball bearing trick. You squeeze a ball bearing between a piece of known alloy and the one you want to measure (use a vice). Doing it this way, you know for sure that the force on each...
