get the 3 to 2-3/4 step piece and set the machine up for 2-3/4. then either roll crimp unskiived or cut off and skiive for a 6 point crimp. use the brass tool BPI makes for the mec loaders for the first time.

BE-86 flips back and forth between unique and herco in burn rate, and it's flash suppressed. power pistol lies right on top of be-86. if I ever empty that red metal can of Herco the jug of 86 sitting there will be going in the 357 cases.

IC and F was very common in the 20's time frame. IC would be almost dead on and Full wouldn't be quite Full with the wadding they used back then. a good smith with the proper inside gauge should be able to ream the choke to IC in about 20 minutes....

the most penetration through bone I have ever got was by using a .0030 thick copper wrap on a cast bullet and slowing it waay down to 2350 fps. that only made it 8"s through the shoulder and spine and through the other shoulder.

the lithium grease will let you down in high temps. stick to something more like 3 parts wax to 1 part lithium grease. you can add carnuba to the mix but 3% is all you need. if you want it to be a little softer add some Vaseline 1 tsp to 2 ozs of...

in the 1850 zone. the above recipe of round about ww alloy, 165grs of weight with a flat nose, and 18-2000 fps is a stone killer on deer out to @ 125yds. your not gonna get any better dead from a copper wrapper at another 7-800 fps.

8% antimony is more like 18bhn. 3% antimony is more what your looking for. you been running probably 1.25-1.5% with your 50-50 mix. after waiting them out a month or so after water dropping your getting your 15-16 bhn.
