He's talking about this post Tim Did you notice, in the 2nd test with the .308W the 23 good shots (with barrel fouled) using the “select” bullets the group average size is .697″! The velocity of that match load is 1980 fps. That says...

I keep wanting little projects done and finding someone to do them has been well a waste of time. The machine shops around me say its not enough to mess with or the cost for doing a little job is just to much to justify. So I been on the hunt for...

I don't think it's much of problem with larger caliber that aren't overbore. Once shooting a Jap with a surplus duplex load i shot five shot and you could fry bacon on the barrel. The rifle was 65 degrees from being it a cool basement. I reloaded...

If you are worried about pressure in your Garand you can buy a cheap piece of insurance by buying a Schuster valve from places like Midwayusa. Then you don't have to worry about such things as bending your op rod. I can tell you that 872 suplus...

If your mould is out of alignment and you can move it fore and aft ,when it's closed and the handles are gripped firmly, then either the alignment pins aren't protruding enough, the female holes in the other block have are too large or a combination...

You got it right BHjiu in that the rpm to ruin accuracy is so high that not only do we need not to worry about it, it doesn't make enough difference to care about. I'll lean towards a engineer schooled in the things that are needed to fully...

The dreaded internal lock—a.k.a. Hillary Hole—began in 2002 with the 66-6, the Model 66-7 featured a two-piece barrel and more internal lock mechanisms. Smith & Wesson dropped the Model 66 from production in 2005. You might ask them if they...

Is gun blued or stainless? S6 doesn't ring any bells, they made a 66, 586, 486, the -7 is a change number, the A20 probably a rack number, is there a more full serial number, probably with a letter prefix, pictures would help. You might be able...

From what I understand it's based on a modified 450 Bushmaster case which is turn was based off a 284 Win. The 30 RAR has a larger rim size then the 30-06/ 308 family. It's possible you could get those two other cases to work, don't know if...

Forget that rpm thing. The velocity you picked as the most accurate pretty well may not be. To say it wouldn't shoot more accurate at a higher velocity is just not true.

Popper I think, not sure, they may have changed the barrel nut. I know they changed the free float tubes. I'm not overly excited about dual ejectors. We know that spring loaded ejectors push the cartridge to one side of the chamber ALL THE TIME!! ...

I swage 22 brass into 55gr bullets the duds that I find I pull the bullets and use them as well. I SS pin with water to clean them before I de rim you would think tumbling in a tank full of water and soap would kill the primer plus it was a dud to...
