I'm not a COW fan and would rather use a buffer in some of those applications. remember that a filler just fills an air hole and a buffer is a compressable inert material. they both have their place. a Dacron type filler works better in the sharp...

I'm sticking to naked lead for the majority of my shooting. the Powder coat has it's place and can be quite helpful in some situations. the oven is still useful for heat treating boolits either way. I like having options to problems when they...

umm. for a wad cutter you taper crimp.... kind of. it's mostly ironing the sides of the case flat. neck tension is more than enough for 3 grs of powder to ignite properly.

you got a little stringing with the 44. a primer change could bring that into a little round hole. for P-dogs I really like the speer 125gr 'TNT' it has to be their most accurate bullet except maybe their 100gr BT controlled expansion for the 25...

plain base is plenty good. the lower velocity and longer length might not be compatible. especially if you get a 44 mag rifle with the twist rate for a 44-40.

Seems to me it is another ploy to make money off the members, lobbying nationwide CCW reciprocity in exchange for a requirement that people take a multi-day, multi-thou$and $ course offered by the NRA and be required to buy liability insurance sold...

These are ten-shot, fifty yard groups fired within soft, 1:30 tin-lead, plainbased bullets in a Marlin 1894S Microgroove .44-40 rifle with open sights. These are not subsonic loads, but full charges, about 1200 fps.

I wouldn't want to use 35-40grs of a filler powder. your initial charge would light some of it off for sure especially on top of a 42gr charge giving the velocity your getting now. the pressure alone would insure your gonna burn some of the added...

Tomme beat me. 43-44 for 125's and 42 for 150's I have used both I and H type for both loads and usually do well depending on the powder at that point in time.
