I do not have the article in front of me, but I do believe the load was 5.8 grains of Power Pistol, and the pressure was tested at 17,000 Psi. I have not chronographed this load, and do not have access to pressure testing equipment, however I...

Things can always get worse my friends. A lifelong friend of mine was widowed about 10 years ago. After a few years he wound up getting himself a 'mail order' bride from China. My buddy is as big a mess as anyone, myself included when it comes...

Good news, I have some Vectan powders on the shelf, but all faster burning pistol stuff. What little I have used seemed quite good, and the price is hard to pass up.

I just re-read a Brian Pearce article in an older Handloader magazine that claims a 158 gr boolit can be run to 900 Fps. in a 2" snub at upper standard pressures using Power Pistol powder. In my testing of cast HPs in snubs, the more velocity the...

38 S&W dimensions differ from those of the more-often-reloaded 38 Special and 357 Magnum--38 S&W is NOT a short 38 Special. Throat diameters on my four examples range from .359" (Colt Police Positive) to .363" (S&W M&P and Webley-Enfield). My S&W...

I have a couple of 92's. One feeds the 358156 in 38 cases very well. Both like the Lee 125 and Lyman 358477. My longer one feeds the NOE 160 wfn very well. Both are newer safety types.

I have a 5" gun and a 3" in 40. Both do their best with power pistol, though they need different diameter bullets. AA2, Red Dot, Herco and Unique are also rans.

I have an older BLR in 308. It will be the last rifle to leave me. Accuracy is good enough with a cold bore 5 shot group averaging 1 1/4" to 1 1/2". Mine is light enough to pack all day, and the trigger is decent if not benchrest quality. I have...

I have used a 3-5 grain "kicker" of fast rifle powder to help ignition with some really slow burning powders. I would guess that a 2-3 grain kicker might be OK with a medium burning one. Que se cazas con estas? A de estar en el Oeste cerca de...

On the recommendation of a friend I walked into a McDonalds in Rome to see the menu. It also had the most ornate bathroom in a McDonalds. Yep, two beers on tap or soda with your meals. I had better things to eat in Italy than US fast food. Great...

I would recommend the Ruger American rifle. Mag fed, light, mine is very accurate, and easy on the wallet. :)
