I just wish I had bought a Johnson back when you could still get them for $150. On the bright side, if you own a nice example, this project just increased the value of your rifle, by one less as-issued example being available.

Does anyone know the dimensions/size of the set screws used on NOE molds? I lost one and would like to get a few spares.

the Lee 358 158 is a good one. I shoot it out of my 360DW rifle and my 35 whelen. Out of the Whelen it's a bit fast for deer sized game. :)

5.5" loaded to 44 levels with the 429421. I really like 6.5 gr Red Dot as a plinker. I have pushed it hard with WC 820/AA9 but find it heavy to pack in the woods and usually revert to a 45 or 44 special.

One of mine will not chamber 357's though it is so marked. I will chamber a 50's era 358156 loaded to near 357 levels and so marked.

I donated an identical scope as an auction to benefit Ken. Someone needs to snag this. It’s literally the perfect scope for a savage 99 or a waffle top. Free bump for an elegant scope.

That is one reason I like the steam method. You don't need distilled water. I find I can get closer to a high gloss if I don't let a rust process go too far. I wait until I get just a hint of oxidation between steaming. If you let it go to a full...

I bought a used 40 S&W, got it home and found the plastic trunnion that holds the barrel was cracked where it locks. I took it back to my dealer and he let me upgrade to a new 9mm for a few bucks. It has been flawless.

I heard the same thing when I first started loading for an 1874 replica. I couldn't figure it out until I got a perfect side profile of a boolit on paper. Once I scienced out that problem, no more noise. Groups amazingly improved dramatically too.

Zorrillos. Little Zorro's. At my age I have little respect for speeders, esp with posted limits at 80. The number of idiots speeding on the interstate has really reduced my motorcycle time. It's hard enough to be seen at 75 mph with the fools going...

For your final boil out, you will need to keep it boiling or in steam around 25 minutes, or your project will slowly turn brown.
