The barrel lock up means barrel switching is not as easy as reciiever lock up, but with a couple of boxes of jacketed bullets to run it in and running it on cast, combined with the fact that I am 70, I can't see me wearing it out.

I wouldn't mind having a Swede in my safe. It would sit quite nicely among all my Lee Enfields (all sporterized unfortunately).

Thanks all. I was thinking it seems like clip on wheel weights. I don't have a hardness tester unfortunately. This stuff is dull under the paint but remains shiny longer than plain lead but does dull to a lead appearance just like wheel weights....

I'm selling more than I'm buying lately. Trying to reduce my armoury significantly. I think this rifle wil suit me better and allow me to sell about three.

I am just happy that I can still shoot and own guns in this Worker's Paradise. I do not give a flip about dirty guns or smoke (You gotta be kidding me.....), that is what Hoppe's #9 was designed to address. I guess I am "out of touch" as well....

Such eye candy! I must confess I am jealous. Ok so the bore is a little large. Don't forget that there is some springback on the case mouth so it may still be possible to get a .318 patched boolit to fit. My little shorty has a bore...

At two thirds of the price. I hope it works better than my Tikka T3 hunter. It is ok, but my el cheapo Ruger American kicks it's butt every time (both 223, bith 1 in 8" twist barrels).

I put a deposit on one of these the other day (they haven't arrived into the country yet). It will be used for some hunting and mostly range target / plinking / cast boolit fun. Has anyone used one yet?

Could you post a photo of that Martini Bonehill? I have a Martini 303 carbine barrel on a MLE action. It doesn't tighten up but I got another action with tight threads so it should be fine. It shot amazingly well with the barrel loose - like MOA...

The overhang is loose so gas pressure (or would it be powder kernels?) can flare it open and into the gap, leaving a paper ring. I've had them sitting in the case mouth at an angle. When wrapped around the base the patch gets pressed into the...
