    Don't even try for a head shot only. Very easy to miss. Been there and missed. Things are happening very fast. Get the most powerful 22lr. you can find. Just my 2 cents.

    Sorry to hear about you diagnosis. That does sound like a bad one. At least you have a beautiful rifle. once you make a chamber cast of some kind you'll figure out what is going on.

    I kinda think you answered your own question. my friend has a very used first generation colt single action army. All the cases have a nice bulge in them after firing. You would notice it. might be time to toss the brass.
