    It doesn't really matter a lot. Waisted/diablo pellets are very stable because of their shape.

    No standards. HW barrels are very different- wide grooves and thin lands. Old British rifles in .22 are .220 rather than 5.5 mm and don't shoot most current pellets well. The pellet makes a big difference. If you get a good pellet to barrel match...
