Running the long bullets in the .260 for magazine feeding requires the bullet be seated in the donut area of the neck. This creates issues since most competitors don't want to inside neck ream. They much prefer to outside neck turn. The 6.5...

Yes it will feed the very long bullets used by the long range competitors out of a 308 length mag. With the .260 using the same long bullets the mag runs out of space.

In the early 1900's it was very common for competition shooting. It greatly reduces fouling. Most BP competitions do not allow it today. http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?137201-Black-powder-duplex-loads

they pretty much build these guns in side alleys. Watched one youtube video of the guys roughing out the stock, trigger guard and lock pieces. No way! I'd like a questionable civil war barrel found just yesterday in the dirt over one of these things.

I own both the cva and traditions kentucky. Bot shoot excellent. The cva likes a heavier charge of Pyrodex P, but accuracy, either one I'd trust. my kentucky,. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4r1kjsu9U8&t=32s&ytbChannel=Jonathan%20Koziol With...

No disagreement. I love the.17 Mach 2. My favorite is a Magnum Research semi-auto with a Kidd two stage trigger, I also have the .17 Mach 2 in CZ's, Sako Quads and Contenders. That doesn't change the fact that the cartridge is almost dead. ...

That is one of the primary reasons the cartridge is on life support. Dirty chambers in a shouldered rimfire in semi-auto don't mix so chamber dimension's between manufactures vary greatly. Between the case splits and slam fires ammo manufactures...

Like most long range rifle competitors I mostly load on a progressive. We all have no problem holding 1/2 MOA out to a 1,000 yards with a progressive. To produce extremely accurate ammo the same steps have to be followed. Press type makes very...

Started reloading in at 9 or 10 years old for a re-enactment club. Loading about 50,000 rounds for them on a single station press. Reloading was never fun until I purchased a 1050.

These clumps I had to use a small section of wood and gently crush them apart. It wasn't hard, but it was needed as the shaking method would not work. The powder shoots well, even at 100 yards, but no where as good as Pyrodex P in my rifles. But...

I have the same question. In the .556 I don't recommend a carbine length gas system. On my match rifles I extend the rifle length gas system 2". I have zero experience with the 458 SOCOM but everything I have read states the carbine length gas...

That would be my point. Consumers rejected lower velocity of the 17 HM2. A low velocity 17 HMR load would fair no better.

I have 6 cans and in the end, all of them I had to dump out and gently crush up these huge chunks. Powder is still accurate out to 100 yards but not the same accuracy as with pyrodex. But for $10, I shall keep on buying and shooting!

They do it's called the 17 Mach 2 but it didn't sell well and the gun manufactures made the chambers too loose in the semi-auto's so neck and case splits are fairly common. I have several and really like them but I purchased 8K of ammo at a...
