It sounds like you got it figured out so hopefully everything is fine. If it happens agin try and figure out if the bullet is sticking or if the brass is sticking. The brass can stick if it's not sized all the way down or if the belling from the...

Midway uses whatever shipping option you choose. The last order I placed was Saturday 10/20 and it was delivered Wednesday 10/24 and I selected the cheapest option. I just looked in my Midway cart and for the items selected there are 5...

Anchor the press to a wooden board that can be clamped to your kitchen table. Brass will dry out in a day or two depending on humidity levels. I just rinse mine off and let it sit on a towel in my basement. If I need to ensure that it's dry in...

What are you hoping to gain by lubing? The powder coating should prevent leading on it's own if done correctly. I can't imagine it'll hurt anything, but I don't think you'll see any benefit.

Buying stuff used is always a gamble, but I've found most people to be trust worthy. If you buy 10 items used for half the price you would have otherwise paid you're still coming out ahead even if 1 or 2 of the deals ends up being a bust.

Even if it was refinished that's one heck of a deal and it wasn't look refinished from what I can tell of those photos. You could easily double what you paid. If someone offered me that gun for $1600 I'd be interested.

SWC's can work in 9mm's. H&G 275 is a good one. It's basically a 9mm copy of the H&G 68 45 ACP. I'd be more concerned with shooting real soft swaged bullets in 9mm. Gas checking and powder coating should eliminate leading, but I've never had any...

There's a sticky thread in this sub forum that has many ideas. I use the same cheap metal tray that came with my toaster oven, but I've had bullets fall over. If I'm real careful I can load them into the oven with out having any tip over. ...

reddog81 replied to a thread starting to cast in Cast Boolits
I would smelt outside. I cast in my garage but smelting is too dirty to do in an enclosed space. Leaving 5 to the 10 pounds in your smelting pot is a good idea. Leaving a couple of pounds in the Lee 20 pound furnace is also a good idea. I...

I found a cast iron pot at a local thrift store. Are you located near Des Moines, IA? You could probably borrow mine if so. Muffin pans or similar will work. They can take more than a few minutes to cool and they might bend if you try to...

My favorite for shooting the 100 yard gong at the local range is my S&W 929 9mm revolver. It's got a Vortex Venom red dot sight on it which helps at 100. I just aim for the top of the metal plate and can regularly get 6 out of 8 hits on the...

It can end up being a pretty short round. Usually 1.05 or 1.06 works. The case ends up swallowing the crimp groove if you want it to work in all 9mm guns. If your gun works OK with a longer OAL that might be better for you're particular firearm. ...
