Take a magnet with you to check the copper scrub pads. MOST are steel. You have to find the all copper ones. Usually Chore Boy brand.

I cast standing. I have my pot positioned so I can see the spout and the sprue plate in a normal standing position. Usually by the time I need to see my metal level in the pot I'm ready for a break and will use a step stool to look down into the...

Try and find some of the WW 60gr HP bullets!!! Used to shoot those in my '92. Have a few 60gr FP and have shot some 75gr spire point bullets too. 25-20 was my first centerfire rifle.

Late to this party--sorry about that. I no longer carry a 38 Special for felon repellent. If I did, I would select one of the factory 158 grain LSWC/HP +P loads and call it "Good". These are easily duplicated by reloaders to create practice...

My son liked the boolits that I made for him, and asked me what I wanted for them. Well, the six cavity mold in the same boolit but 125 grain would have been nice, but I just asked for the two cavity. I can still make them for both of us, and I like...

Fisher Since you're hunting with the rifle/cartridge in question and considering smokeless powder loads I would suggest the use of a GC'd bullet. You will get better accuracy at the higher end velocity you've mentioned. I've done a bit of long...

Keep in mind with "listed" +P loads that the SAAMI MAP for standard 38 SPL is 17,000 psi. The SAAMI MAP for 38 SPL +P is 20,000 psi. Neither MAP psi figure means that all standard 38 SPL loads produce 17,000 psi and all +P loads produce 20,000...

Two vets recently committed suicide on the grounds of two separate VA hospitals in Georgia, and a third in the main lobby of one in Austin, TX - all within 5 days. I strongly suspect that they were NOT receiving adequate, quality mental health...
