Gotta love a score on a rare gem like that! Shame the scope was sold separate but still a great find.

I bake @200 for just under 11 mins, coating is slightly darker, but my barrels are spotless, dunno about wipe and smash tests I quit doing them about 3 years ago. Although I admit to smashing one every now and then when I find a a faulty one that...

No I haven’t but have made some other recoveries that surprised me, like a 7mm Remington mag 135 grain corelokt in a large groundhog. The size of critters I use 22lr on it seems I always gothrough and through. As a boy I remember watching my Great...

Our mower path to the back “40” is a real draw for critters- and two slings in a row we were rewarded with a large doe who would stand in the path to nurse her twin fawns almost every evening, so often that my 15 year old daughter doesn’t know that...

Square container with rounded corners, the flat sides interupt the slide-in-a-circle effect and "tumble the casts. Same qty and mills as Ausglock.

If you gonna be in the area when we decide to do this, you are more than welcome. I got 3 people wanting to learn/know about hand casting. so planning for a day of not only how, but why and the reasons we cast the way we do. Also a full breakdown...

AHhhh Base fins, the bane of one of my molds, one **** hole always (nearly) gives one once sized. If you swage your casts, may I suggest you put them in a square 4 litre container and tumble them for a minute or two dry. I tumble ALL my casts...

Well it has changed my point of view on old "dead" molds. No longer do I view them as scrap, now they represent a "development" mold. To be quite honest , I was very apprehensive in doing this project. Molds have a "Aura" about them that provokes...

Mold during test run before polishing. 38spl and 357Mag tested today. 38spl had average of 650-660 FPS over 40 rounds. 357Mag did slightly better @ 680-700 over 40 rounds. Both only running 3.5gn AP70 as a start load, OAL I think is good....

Have two of the rifles in question, what trigger issues are you asking about? Assuming your asking about the accutrigger? Only problem I’ve had is the second one we bought was set far to light for use with with gloves, adjusted a pound or so heavier...

Taking a old Lee 6cav ali mold a guy brought to me a few years ago to try and fix. A 23/64th drill bit, a 6mm bull-nose end mill and a leap of faith.. I now have a fully functional LSWC 6 cav mold that dropped casts @ 152g to start with. I...

And the lack of popularity is because? Now we are getting to the question I did not ask, but inferred. Is removing the lube grove a good or a bad thing? My personal opinion is its a good thing. However that is based on speculative thinking. For...

So you are telling me that the lube groove is beneficial to the projectile? So the most popular bullet for Open Div shooters in IPSC is actually lubed and not coated?. Also by way of deduction your blue and maroon pictured above are not popular...

WHY?? have the jellybeans got lube groves???? No one ever tell them that they are redundant?? Less sealing surface, less to engauge in the rifling, harder to cast... Like selling a new age car with wooden wheels.. Or is that for people you like...

HMMMM CBE no longer will take the lube grooves out of a new mold, so I am looking for a 145-150 grain 358 4 cav mold with no lube grooves and either semi wad cutter or low profile round nose. Anyone got a direction I can go in? Mike.
