Bought a old S&W top break revolver in 32 S&W because it was cheap and will probably trade or sell it after I play with it a bit. I could part it out and make a good profit but I wount do that, I ordered a new V shaped trigger spring for it from...

I have 3 rifles in 357 Max. A martini, a handi, and a falling block and all can chamber .358 bullets easily so no playing around to find a bullet that wount explode on game. To me a rimless strait wall case should stay with semiauto pistols where...

I love old single shots and study there designs. Recently a few have tried to bring back the rolling block and martini rifles, Tippman and Darco, may have spelled wrong. I would like to see someone make a new model Hepburn, the action is very...

All these answers and no one has a clue if it's a rimfire or centerfire or what model ???? Browning makes a lot of lever actions. Jedman

About the only rimmed case with the proper head diameter to use would be the 303 Savage. Years ago I almost made a handi rifle barrel for a shortened 7.63 X 39 rimmed using the 41 mag brass. It works for a 1.3" version. Jedman

The M 1890 is another J.M. Browning design and the way it locks I doubt if it would be a problem with hi speed 22 long rifles if so chambered. I would just try to cycle it with 22 lr's and if it will lift them inline with the chamber and they start...

I have handi rifle barrels in 303 British, 8 X 50 Lebel, 8x 57 Mauser, 50-70 Gov. and several rimmed wildcat rounds in 270, 338, and 375 calibers. All were made by stubbing, or a thick wall liner in a shotgun barrel. I no longer do projects for...

I am probably not a good person to answer this but thinking of your rifle, caliber, sights and bullet choice made me think of what I would suspect. Being a non checked boolit in a 30-30 and sights that don't have a large range of elevation...

I hav owned many 22's and usually start out with a clean bore and unless accuracy goes south I don't clean them much. I did buy a Savage bolt action rifle for one of my grandsons a few years ago and it had a 3 X 9 scope on it. That rifle with a...

You didn't list what is a unique cast boolit caliber you might be thinking of but H&R / NEF made a lot of caliber choices in the handi rifles. Trading or selling your barrel and buying what you want would most likely be more cost effective than a...

You will most likely need a carbide tool bit to cut the die. When running carbide you want to turn the die pretty fast probably about 600 rpm and with your light duty lathe take light cuts about .010 at a time until you reach your length. Then angle...

Rich, I looked in one of my books on Stevens single shot shotguns and they have made no less than 27 models of the modern guns plus in the 1870's and 1880's there was the tip up guns, I have one ! A lot of the newer guns use the same stocks so...

I know very little about the Shiloh Sharps rifle, it sounds like something I should own but I don't. I do have several 50-70 rifles and carbines on different single shot action types and it's one of my favorites. It has similar ballistics to a 50...
