It sounds like you’re on the right track. A lot of guys use 50/50 clip on wheel weights/ to pure or “soft lead” as a hunting alloy with a hardness around 9-10 bhn. You should get some expansion and since you’re using a gas check I’d think leading...

I have one very similar to that red one only a bit smaller (16”square) and my pipe at the back runs horizontal instead of vertical. My great, great uncle built it back in the 50’s for muzzle loader and pistol use. I found it a few years ago when we...

I too vote for Blue Dot. I run 10 grains behind a modified Lee 358-158 rnfp dropping a 150 grain hollow point with great accuracy. Another load my Blackhawk likes is the Lee 358-125 rnfp on top of 20 grains of 296 this would be a bit above a medium...

When I lube with 50/50 beeswax/moly grease I find it easier to lube as I go otherwise I end up with messy boolits one way or another! If Iím tumble lubing then itís not to big of a deal to put some up in inventory.

I’ve learned that I no longer need to be a He-Man and shoot full weenie loads at paper and steel targets. I’m much more accurate with standard loads and that most of my loads are more accurate than I am. Evidently the wing nut yanking the trigger is...

I like this boolit and mold too! I use it from mild 38’s to full weenie .357 magnums with great accuracy. It’s a fun little boolit and they just fall from my mold like rain!
