With the 300BO, I have not seen an issue with the base of the bullet below the minimal neck. I am using the NOE 152 (on the left) the others are a light Lyman designed for the 30 M1 carbine. I really suspect that the diameter of the nose, just...

I suspect the nose diameter, in front of the driving bands is to big to go into the rifling. Had that problem with mine, the barrel had very little leade. I switched to a 152 SP cast and it works like a dream!

Yup, in the Land of Lincoln the temps drop way down and would not want a tire to freeze up. We did use the tractors year round, moving snow and feed lot work.

I love mine, in fact I wore out the pin that goes into the shell holder and a very blessed member here made me a couple of spares. I have an RCBS Partner press, the unit is never removed. The Partner gives so much feel during the process that it...

Would likely be due to the rapid expulsion of hot burning powder. This is most evident in overbore rifles, think 6mm/284 or huge cases necked way down. In the case of the rifles, the damage happens in the leade and first part of the rifling. I am...

Yup, we ran 18.4x38's. I can see the advantages of todays tracks versus tires. But, I bet those tracks are very heavy as well.

Ken, I would agree. I have ended up with many old Ideal's that are unvented or vented and while they make great bullets... if one does not run the sprue plate a little tight they will rise over the sprue cut on the base of the bullet and leave a...

I paid a little more for this mould than I wanted to, but I am so glad that I did! It has become my favorite 32 H&R mag bullet, very accurate! It is a really strange looking bullet with the sub-caliber band out the front and the cute little wart...

Trust me, it was... I hauled it home on a semi when we bought it. Sorry, just looked it up, no weights and dry.. 24k pounds. Give me a break.. it was the late 80's or very early 90's. I also had a large chisel plow on the load.

68000, each wheel weight alone was 250 pounds and we loaded 5 or 6 per side. Front weights were 110 each and we mounted 10 to 15.

I have shot a ton of 11.7 grains of H110 behind any of the assorted cast lead carbine bullets... just works! Second the suggestion to check the crown, crown damage will do strange things to a barrel.

I am not shooting a 9r, do not think I would due to the odd requirements. I am shooting the 1911 RIA 22TCM with cast bullets and they work great. I am using the 44gr. Lyman 225438, it is a round nose bullet and feeds perfectly. I powder coat and...

I like to cast for each gun... my test is to take a cast bullet that I have sized and make sure that it at least takes good thumb pressure to push it thru the throat. I find that .001 to .002 is pretty good, but with softer alloy I will lean toward...
