I just got my new copy of Lyman Shotshell 5th edition. It has a load for nitro (STS), win209, 18 grains RD, and 1 1/8 oz using a waa12 wad. Everything seems to be the same as what I'm already using, only with a Nitro hull instead of a AA. The 3rd...

I deprime first and use stainless pins. That way I don't have to clean primer pockets. That was the biggest reason I went to pins.

Anneal but not with the primers. I have removed live primers many times and just did 200 last week. (problem with rifle) I just purchased a Lee decapping die and it has a lot of room around the outside of the case to direct gases down if one should...

fast ronnie replied to a thread California fire/flood in Our Town
It is hard for us RELATIVELY few rural people to fight the inhabitants of three cities in California which are Sacramento, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. City folks, as a whole (not every one) don't seem to have a clue about real life.

Thanks for all the great suggestions, but I will stay with the 7 x 57. It is a good round. It is not the most powerful but is a good cartridge that probably has the longest continuous use of any. It has even taken many elephant in Africa though I...

I use a small Dillon. I looked at the larger one but didn't like the size or the storage requirements. The small one was $50 shipped. That was a year or two ago. Price may have went up some, though. Mine is almost always used with water, no ill...

I have a Spanish Mauser 1893 chambered in 7 x 57 that the barrel is total junk. There are no riflings left at all. The gun is not worth much, but have invested money in brass, dies, etc. I was wondering if anyone out there might have a barrel that...

I've been loading some Red Dot with waa12 and Winchester primers in AA hulls. I have some Nitro hulls that I would like to use, and have some RXP wads. I've been looking in all the load data that I could find and am not seeing any data for Red Dot,...
