Thanks for your service. I worked B's, E's, H's and a couple of J's. They have came a long way since the A's. I don't have any 2 cavity Lees and I don't remember how they vent. Since it's mostly one cavity it could be a venting issue.

You didn't state why you are rejecting them. If its for incomplete fillout the mold is too cold. Aluminum cools quicker than steel. Aluminum also has a narrow temperature range than steel. Speeding up your cadence or using a hot plates should...

Keep in mind that a 8 lb .30-06 rifle has about 15 ftlbs of recoil energy. A.300 Win Mag is 30 ftlbs. You might want to shoot this from a Lead Sled with about 100 lbs of lead in the cradle. What you are doing is not far from a .700 Nitro...

OK: one other thing for today was making some Brass Inserts for the STI Sabots. I ended up making 11 of them and after weighing they came out right on 550 gr total with the Sabot. The Lead inserts were 490 gr total. I made my inserts with a...

8mm Remington magnum case necked down to 7mm is what the STW is based on. 300 Weatherby and 300 H&H brass will work but I believe both require fireforming to be complete.

So I did a Google search today on Commercial Shotgun Slug Ammo available and then hit "Images" just to see what is out there. You obviously are going to see the big names like Federal and Remington and Winchester, as well as Lightfield and...

Tomme: I got the Lightfield Hybrid Lites which are 1.25 oz at 1300 fps, or the lightest loads they make in 12 ga. The Brenneke Tactical Home Defense are 1oz at 1300 fps and are designed to duplicate other brands Low Recoil 12 ga slugs,,, with...

http://www.salespider.com/b-169195906/w-e-brownell-checkering-tools These are the W.E. Brownell full-veiw style handle (not related to Brownells Gunsmith Supply). I prefer this style handle. You don't need handles but they sell cutters also. ...

In order to further the testing of the various slugs I have available, I ordered some of what are supposed to be the most accurate Slug ammo out there. The point of this is to establish a baseline accuracy standard for all 3 guns. They are...

NO! don't cut the spring, you will just ruin it. Just reduce the load until the gun stops cycling or use a little more shot 7/8 oz is not going to be that much different. The other option is to find a 20 ga A5 and shoot that. then you can use 3/4...

On Browning's high gloss finishes they use polyurethane. Not sure on the 1895's. I am fortunate to have a dip tank that I use MEK for stripping epoxy and polyurethane. The above recommendation should work.

All of these references will be fine however that A5 will shoot any Low based 16 gauge field just fine. Just make sure the Friction Device is set up correctly for the load you are shooting. The fact that that gun is so old makes little difference...
