I added a spacer to my Hawken. I have it sighted in out to 300 and think I can get out to at least 500 with my set up. I did bend my hammer. I heated it up and slipped a piece of small pipe over it and moved it to where I wanted it. ...

Yes I do most of my hunting in a blind. The length of time depends. After the little ones come out I bet I don't have to wait more than about 5 or 10 minutes. Later in the season it might take an hour. This guy I waited almost 2 hours for him but...

I saw a chuck at a neighbors farm that was real light colored, I called him the Grizzle Chuck. I had permission to hunt the other side of the fence but not on the farm he was on. I got permission this year and yesterday I went after him. I started...

I wanted the strongest mount possible. I had a one piece UTG mount that I didn't know was giving me trouble. I knew I had trouble with the sighting system but I didn't think it was the mount. I replaced the scope last year and while the new scope...

Today I was home and I walked outside to the garbage can. A farmer down the street stopped and sounded mad. He said why haven't you been shooting rock chucks at my place? I said because you haven't asked me to! We both laughed and he asked me to...

Lead hardness is a touchy thing for Muzzleloaders. You can use a little alloy in the lead and it will help, BUT. That is a big but, you have to keep it on the soft side. On my 50 cal bullets I target 7 BHN. 5 BHN is considered pure. In my 45 I am...
